WORD AND WORSHIP
CHRIST IS BORN FOR YOU

Luke 2: 10-11
No matter where you’re reading in the Bible, faith is the
first mystery you should recognize. Faith is not believing
that the story you’re reading is true as written. That does LADIES BIBLE STUDY
nothing for anyone. Even unbelievers can believe the Bible 10:30 am
story about Jesus’ birth is true. Faith is not a natural work EQUIPPED: THE ARMOR OF GOD FOR
apart from God’s grace, as the Scripture clearly teaches. EVERYDAY STRUGGLES
Rather the right kind of faith, the kind that flows from
grace and that God’s Word demands, is firmly believing
that Christ was born for you. His birth is yours and oc-
curred for your benefit.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE CLASS
For the gospel teaches that Christ was born for our benefit
and that everything he did and suffered was for us. As the 10:00 AM
angel says here, “I have good news for you, a message that
will fill everyone with joy. Today your Savior, Christ the
Lord, was born in David’s city.” With these words, you
can clearly see that He was born for all of us.
He doesn’t say, “A Savior was born,” but rather “Your
Savior, Christ the Lord, was born.” In the same way, he
doesn’t say, “I have good news,” rather “I have good news
for you.” For you! “I have good news for you, a message
that will fill everyone with joy.” This joy is for everyone
who has this kind of faith.

ALTAR FLOWERS PRICE INCREASE
KV FLORIST, WHO PROVIDES OUR ALTAR BOUQUETS: would like for
Beautiful
Savior Lutheran Church to increase our payment for the bouquets from $25 to $35.
Originally $3 of the $25 covered the delivery charge when the owner’s
husband graciously delivered the bouquets. He passed away several years age and the
delivery cost has increased to $10 but our cost did not. Now with everything increasing
in price, they have reluctantly asked for this increase. They have provided excellent
service, the altar guild ladies appreciate the delivery service, and we all admire the
beautiful bouquets. Members may also consider sharing the cost of the two bouquets
($18 each)
Simply write both names on the flower chart in the space for the selected Sunday.
Thank you for your understanding.
