C. Unlocking difficulties
To start our discussion, let's define the Informational
text.

Informational text gives facts about a specific topic. It's

is usually found in newspapers, magazines, textbooks,
biographies and instruction manuals.

D. Lesson Proper

a. Motivation

Have you ever planted a tree? Why is it important to

plant a tree?

Today you will be hearing how do plants grow and

change. (Teacher will read the story while the pupil
listen)

How do Plants Grow and Change?

All plants have a life cycle. A cycle is a series of changes

that occur in the life of a plant. During it's life cycle, a
plant can grow, change and makes more plants like
itself. The plant dies at the end of its life cycle.

Plants start their life cycle in different ways. Some

plants like a tree, starts as a seed. The kind of seed you
plant is the kind of plant that will grow. Other plants
begin as a bulb or cutting.

b. Presentation and Discussion

Class, our topic in this afternoon is Restating Facts

from Informational text listened to.

So, what is Restating?

Restating means using your own words to express

somebody else's ideas, without changing it's meaning
and removing an information.

Meaning, expressing your own ideas or word from what

you've understand in a certain information. This is like a
paraphrasing, changing the words but not the meaning
or idea of a text.

Enable to restate, you can follow this steps:

1. Read and understand the text.
2. Take note of the main ideas or key words.
3. Use synonyms.
4. Write the main ideas in your own words.
5. Cite sources.

Earlier, we defined what is Informational text. It is a

written text that it's purpose is to inform the reader or
give knowledge about factual information. That is what
we restate, the Informational text.

For example:

Original Restate

Willy Wonka was famous Willy Wonka was popular

for his delicious candy. because the candies he
Children and adults loved makes are tasty and
to eat it. people enyoed it.

copy then answer the activity that I'm going to write in
the board.

sentences in column A to column B that has a same
meaning. Write the letter of a correct answer on the

to apply what we've learned. In our surroundings there
are lots of wisdom we can get if we observe then apply
it. And why is it important to restate? This is because to
avoid copying others ideas like your own. That's called The Informational text. It is a written text that it's
plagiarism and that is a crime. So you must restate and purpose is to inform the reader or give knowledge
