Warrant in the first instance to Bring up a Witness

Section 87 of Code of Criminal Procedure

To _________ (designation and name of the Police Officer or any other person or persons
who is or are to perform the warrant).

WHEREAS complaint has been filed before me stating _________ (personal details and
name of thee accused) of _________ (address) has (or is suspected to have) perpetrated an
unlawful act of _________ (concisely mention the act), and it seems like _________
(personal details and name of witness) can provide evidence relating to the aforesaid
complaint and whereas I have satisfactory and adequate reason to accept that he will not be
present as a witness for the hearing of the aforesaid complaint unless urged to do so;

This is to authorise and day of _________ to present him before this hon’ble Court, to be
examined relating to the aforesaid matter of the complaint.
