CO2 FIRE SUPPRESSOR SYSTEM CHECKING: MINIMAX

• Inform all CCR building personnel about the minimax system checking
• Lock the seven cylinder’s (each cylinder contains 67 Liter CO2) valve by using safety
pin and remove handles of CO2 cylinder’s valve

• Set the three keys on the Panel & keep close positions

• Keep one person at CO2 Cylinder area (Outside of CCR) to check Operating time
• Turn on CO2 release key and observe the followings
➢ A/C will off
➢ Fire bell ringing starts
➢ Alarm Light starts blinking red light

➢ CO2 panel sound & Fire alarm beacon will activate


➢ Alarm Horns & Flash light will activate (horns:100dB, light:60 flash per minute)
• After 45 seconds timer will activate & release piston goes upward. Then weights fall
down that creates a tension to the release bar. For this tension release bar goes
towards the manifold/Socket and opens the CO2 release valve

• Then CO2 release to header line


• Turn the CO2 Release Key in reverse way within 15 seconds to stop release while
keeping the interruption Switch pressed, also open the MINIMAX panel door using 2
door keys -IF CO2, release is not required.
• For checking purpose, turn off fire bell by local panel reset & open the CO2 panel door
using 2 door keys for off the panel sound.
RE-SETTING THE CO2 PANEL FOR FURTHER USE:

• Remove weights from weight bar

• Open timer box glass door & set the weight bar rod and wire with timer calculating
lever knob
• Keep timer calculating knob at vertical position
• Remove safety pin and adjust handles of CO2 cylinder’s valve
• Close the CO2 panel and keep all the keys in the key Box

• Keep the weight bar slowly one by one


• Adjust Cylinder’s valve handle
• Run AC
IN CASE OF EMERGENCY:
• At first, Wear a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA respirators). It can
supply oxygen for 10 minutes only (Please, Remember it)

• Set the three keys on the Panel & turn on CO2 release key

• Close the damper control valve


• If Automatic system doesn’t work, then go to the STG side of CCR where the CO2
cylinders are placed. For manual Release of CO2, break the glass and pull the lever.
