Purpose of the Interview/Mission Statement:
This interview is conducted to gain and gather relevant information regarding
the approach of college student boarders in Central Mindanao University to managing
finances in times of striking inflation in the Philippines.
Working Topic:
Inflation forces students to adjust their allowance budgeting.
Questions:
1. How much is your weekly allowance, and how much do you allocate for food,
transportation, and school-related fees?
2. Do you think the things you spend your money on are worth it?
3. What are the struggles you encounter financially?
4. Compared to how you managed your finances in 2018 - 2020, and in 2022, what
differences have you encountered?
5. What approaches do you practice to keep track of your financial status?
INTERVIEW SCRIPT
Interviewer 1: Ladies and gentlemen, we have with us here today, Mr./Ms.
_________ to entertain some of our questions prepared beforehand for our one-
on-one interview.
Interviewer 2: Good morning, Mr./Ms. _________. We hope you’re doing well.

Interviewer 1: To give you an idea of the flow of this interview, I will be stating its
general outline. We will first inform you of the purpose of this interview, to be
followed by the giving of questions and listening to your responses, and lastly, some
picture taking for documentation purposes.

Interviewer 1: Now, to start off, we’d like to inform you of the purpose of this
interview.
Interviewer 2: This interview is conducted to gain and gather relevant information
