SAINT CATHERINE
It wasn`t easy to determine my project place as I am
confused between :
1-Kottamia Astronomical Observatory
The 74-inch (1.9 m) telescope at Kottamia is the
largest telescope in the Arab World, North Africa and
the Middle East. But the government had discussed the
negative impact of establishing the new administrative
capital on the Katameya Astronomical Observatory and
the idea of moving the observatory to a place not long
by the encroachment of urbanization, or establishing a
new observatory .
2- Wadi El Hitan is a paleontological site in the Faiyum
Governorate of Egypt, some 150 kilometres south-west
of Cairo. It was designated a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in July 2005 for its hundreds of fossils of some of
the earliest forms of whale, the archaeoceti. But as
main purpose to build a community center this place is
blanked from any access or services.
