November 7-28, 2022 A. Classroom-level Read-A-Thon: This may be done for 10 to 15


minutes of English or Filipino time:
1. Each day for 10 to 15 minutes of the English/Filipino
tme, a volunteer learner shall do any of the
following:
a. Story retelling
b. Oral reading interpretation
2. The story to be used shall be any storybook (Filipino,
English, Bisaya language) that is written by a Filipino
author.
3. A rubric may be used to appreciate the performance
of the volunteer learners with the following
indicator:
a. Story Retelling
i. Accuracy of recalled events
ii. Organization of events/ideas
iii. Voice projection and expression
iv. Audience impact
v. Level of confidence
b. Oral Reading interpretation
i. Use of vocal expression including
proper phrasing, timing, and pacing
ii. Voice mechanics
iii. Level of confidence
iv. Number of words read accurately
4. Poster Making
a. The teacher shall read a storybook to the
learners.
b. Each learner shall make a poster showing the
message of the story listened to. This may be
done during the MAPEH class.
c. Posters shall be displayed in the classroom’s
display area.
B. Reading Ambassadors (Teachers, School Officials, Parents,
Learners and other Stakeholders. They shall be chosen for their
love of reading and their enthusiasm to share this with others.
1. They shall read a story to a group of learners in
organized reading activities. This may be done during
the recess time.
2. They shall guest readers in some of the classrooms to
help show what grate reading role models they can
look up to.
3. They shall promote reading materials.

1. Readers Theater (The 4 Dragon)
2. Oral Interpretation
3. Character Portrayal
4. Vocabulary-Bee (Quiz-bee on vocabularies)

November 28, 2022 A. Araw ng Pagbasa Challenge: All learners, teachers and school
officials will do the nationwide synchronized reading at exactly
9:00 in the morning Philippine Standard Time (PST)

B. Culminating Program for the Reading Month


Awarding of the following winners:
1. Readers Theater
2. Oral Interpretation
3. Character Portrayal
4. Vocabulary-Bee
5. Story Retelling
6. Poster Making
