INTRODUCTION
Beauty Care (Nail Care) is a path that allows a person to attain personal beauty. In
nail care, services include manicure and pedicure, hand spa, and foot spa.

Nail care services refer to the beauty care of nails and toenails that can be performed
at home or in a nail salon. This involves consumer preparation, cleansing of
fingernails, and toenails.

The person doing the nail care service is referred to as a nail technician.

NAIL CARE TOOLS


Tools are items utilized in any nail care service which might be durable or permanent
and handheld. They are also known as implements.
Implements are handheld tools used in a manicure that is durable and must be
sanitized (or disposed of) after every use by every customer.
The following are the implements utilized in manicure and pedicure:

Cuticle Nail Pusher is designed to softly


scrape epidermal tissue from the natural nail
plates.

Cuticle Nipper is a stainless steel used to


carefully trim away dead skin across the nails.

Cuticle Scissor is a pair of scissors with


curved ends, which can cut the stubborn
cuticle.

Nail Buffer is put into effect used to smooth


and polish nails.

Nail Cutter is a manual tool made of metal


used to trim nails and toenails.

Nail File is an implement used on a rough


surface to shape the free edge of the nail and
tilt the nail with the thinner side.

Orangewood Stick is an implement used to


remove excess polish with pointed ends and
rounded ends.
Manicure Nail Brush is a small brush with
nylon bristles used to remove excess parts of
the nail after the nail file and epidermis are
removed.

Pedicure Nail Brush is a small brush with


stiff bristles that are used to remove cosmetics
and clean toenails.

The tools commonly utilized in giving manicure and pedicure are the
following:`

Callous Remover is a tool designed to remove


calluses and corn.

Foot file is made of metal or sandpaper, with


a rough file on one side to remove corns and a
fine file on the other side to smooth the foot.

Finger or Manicure Bowl is a small bowl that


softens the cuticle by soaking your fingers.

Foot Spa Basin is a large rectangular


container used for pedicure bathing and
soaking feet.

Manicure Tray is a flat container in which all


necessary tools and utensils are placed for use
by the manicurist.
Mixing bowl is a small, round cup-shaped
container used to mix aromatic oils and other
liquids in a hand or foot spa.

Plastic Container for Cotton is a small


container for placing cotton balls.

Pumice Stone is a kind of volcanic rock


formed when the foam lava solidifies into a
loose rock. It is used to remove dryness and
annoying skin and calluses on the feet.

Supply Tray is a flat container containing


cosmetics and necessary implements.

Trolley is a wheeled trolley pushed by hand


and used to transport manicures and pedicure
tools and materials.
