I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
Define and discuss what is travelogue.
Identify important tips and strategies that are useful in travel writing.
Compose a personal travelogue.

A. Preliminary Activities
1. Prayer
“So, let’s all rise and have our morning prayer”.

The teacher will play a worship dance song.
2. Checking of Attendance
“Ms. Secretary, do we have any absentees for this
day?” Ms. Secretary will answer.
“How is everyone today? Did you take your
breakfast?” Student’s responses.
“Before we start our formal discussion, we will
have a group activity. The class will be divided into
2 groups”. Student’s will have their group.
“As you can see, I have here a manila paper at the
same time an envelope. Each group will receive an
envelope. Each group need to accomplish what is
asking inside the envelope. The first group who
finish doing their work will shout, "Arat Na" for
them to be recognized”.
“I will give the class 5 minutes to finish the
activity”.
Student’s will work with their groupmates.
B. PRESENTATION
“Okay class, everyone please settle down”.
“Let’s see the work of group 1”. Student’s will go back to their proper seats.
Group 1 will present their work.
“Let’s give Group 1 five claps”.
Student’s will clap five times.
“So, let’s see the work of Group 2”.
Group 2 will present their work.
“Let’s also give Group 2 five claps”.
Student’s will clap five times.
“I prepared some motivational questions here. I
will call some hands to answer the following
questions. But before that, I have here a picture of
Dora and Diego. The purpose of this is for you to
raise it when you want to answer a question”.

What is Travelogue?
A travelogue is a
personal diary of
a person's
journey to
another place.
Here, we wrote
our experiences
that we encounter
when travelling or
visiting a place.
It is both a
narrative story
describing
personal experiences and a collection of factual
details that other travellers would find useful. You
can’t just narrate your experiences but should
include facts
about what is
within that
place.
It incorporates
practical advice,
vivid descriptions, actionable information, and
genuine emotion. You can include images or videos
which can you readers believe that you really
experience travelling on that place. Note this. Make
sure that the information you will include is
specific so that the readers will understand it easily.
A good travelogue is gripping like a story, practical
like a guidebook, and visually and emotionally
alluring like a magazine article.
Tips for Travel Writers
Travelogues are unique and can be written in a
variety formats depending on the type of
information you wish to convey to your audience.

Writing about travel is not at all similar academic
writing. Your
main objective is
to make readers
enthusiastic about
the location, so
your writing needs
to be both creative
and informational.

Don't indulge in travel writing if you have not yet
visited a location or
just know about if
from friends, family,
or the internet. If you
