Project Description
The project is an agri-enterprise in crop production, specifically lettuce production. As demand for the supply of lettuce is rising in the
province of Capiz some of our consumers are needed to gain another income this pandemic. In our target, we can cater in other farms for their
additional supply in case of lacking their lettuce products.

In our market analysis, we always encounter the low supply of lettuce in some other farms because of low profit or income and due to low prices,
and the solution of this, is to encourage our costumers to buy and promoting as organic label and some of them they can avail some of benefits such
as hotels, restaurants, malls, farms and other areas in western Visayas.

THE FLOW CYCLE OF LETTUCE

5 days- Construction of Nursery, Clearing the area and Land preparation

1st month- Transplanting of lettuce up to harvesting.

Estimated harvest:
100 kilos every month x 200 pesos per kilo = Php 20.000.00 This is a one cycle computations equivalent to 5 months.
LETTUCE PRODUCTION WITH ORGANIC CONCOCTIONS

RATIONALE:
The area was abandoned many years ago beside on the house. It has owned by our grandfather and I have decided to convert it into agricultural business
that can help and give more benefits in our community and to sustain their needs coming from our products. Organic lettuce is a high valued crops that can
grow in our backyards, vertical gardening and other some available space to plant lettuce. It is also known in many agriculture farms one of their main
crops/products and can sustain for a family daily need because of their product income. Since, we are practicing the organic label, we can make our own
organic fertilizers which is organic concoctions. In that way, we can help to our community to share our learning or knowledge to make organic concoctions
and how to ferment using the ingredients such as molasses and fruits for Fermented Fruit Juice and fish for our Fish Amino Acid as a main concoction of our
lettuce.

The farm owner has already trained in organic vegetable productions or natural farming, Market-driven High Value Crop-Based Farm Planning,
Designing and Proposal Writing for Urban and Rural Farms, Training of Trainers on Cassava Production Technologies, Training Management Course for LSA
Cooperators on how to conduct a training, Online training on Pig Production and Vermicomposting and Training of Trainers on Production of High-Quality
Inbred Rice and Seeds and Farm Mechanization. All of this training is conducted by Agricultural Training Institute under the Department of Agriculture.

In two years of my experience in KAPAWA INTEGRATED FARM SCHOOL, located at Barangay Solo, Pontevedra, Capiz I have experienced in their
farm on how to plant lettuce up to harvest. We can sell it on our own way from walk-in buyers, direct selling, resellers, public market and posting on social
media. This is the best way of my experience as a vegetable grower in the farm and I can make it for our community to promote organic production also our
agricultural products and give them more knowledge about organic agriculture production because we can all say, “WE SERVE WHAT THE FARMERS
DESERVE!”.
INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING ORGANIC CONCOCTIONS:

FERMENTED FRUIT JUICE (FFJ)

BANANA PAPAYA MOLASSES SQUASH

FISH AMINO ACID (FAA)

FISH MOLASSES
BENEFITS OF ORGANIC CONCOCTIONS:

 FERMENTED FRUIT JUICE (FFJ)

Fermented Fruit Juice can be used to increase the fruiting process of plants as well as to increase yield in some leafy green vegetables. It can be used as
a foliar spray as well as indirect application to the soil, where it feeds the microbiome and increases soil health.

 FISH AMINO ACID (FAA)

Increase soil fertility and enrich soil nutrients. It makes the soil very loose, maintains the biomass of microorganisms and earthworms, and guarantees a
healthy soil environment. Promote the growth of crop roots and leaves, and enhance photosynthesis, especially for seedlings.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
KAPAWA INTEGRATED FARM SCHOOL

I was working in KAPAWA INTEGRATED FARM as Farm manager, and also a trainer in RCEF, The farm existing two years at the present and they also
producing more organic and promoting to the farmers about organic. I have more idea about growing organic lettuce because of this farm I have learned a lot of ideas and
other techniques on how to grow and labeling as organic and selling to our community that might help in our health nutrition without using synthetic chemicals and fertilizers.
