shown in Table 2. Assume the moisture content of the total waste is 25 percent and ash content is
5 percent, analyze the followings;

of 500,000 generating 30 kg per household per week. Assume the density of waste is 600 kg/m3 and
4 person per household. A planning restriction limits the height of the landfill to 12 m.

11. Explain the disadvantages of using landfill for solid waste disposal and recommend the Three (3)
methods to help reduce waste on the landfill.
