PART I
PRODUCT PLAN

Product #1 – Shabu – shabu (Polvoron)

Product Description:
Shabu-shabu is a sweet, soft, creamy and fined type of pastry. It is usually eaten by
kids using a tiny colorful teaspoon. Its name is inspired from an illegal drug called
"shabu" due to its similar packaging and color. The ingredients are margarine, flour,
milk and sugar. The product is rich in calcium that is good for the bone, glucose that
provides energy and trans-fat that functions as energy storage for the body. It is also
an easy to cook and affordable sweet treat.

Ingredients:
 1 cup of powdered Milk
 2 cups of flour
 1 cup of sugar
 1 tablespoon of margarine

Procedures:
1. Find that putting 2 cups of toasted flour with 1 cup of powdered milk, 1 cup of
sugar, and 1 cup of melted margarine results in a texture that is buttery and
crumbly yet solid. Mix until just moistened; if it seems a little dry, add more
margarine in increments of 1 tablespoon.
2. Pack the polvoron in a plastic. You may use straw to eat it.

Product #2 – Street Foods

 Kwek – kwek
 Kikiam
 Fishball

Product Description:

A fish ball is a food item that originated in China. It was invented by the Chiu Chow
folks, who are known for using fish parts that are rarely used in cooking and making
them into a paste, then boiling them and finally, creating a round-shaped snack . A fish
ball is made of rounded meat balls of a fish paste and boiled or deep fried, usually
served with its special sauce. It is popular throughout East and Southeast Asia. A meal
resembling sausage with Chinese roots is called kikiam. Since it was first introduced in
the Philippines, it has been immediately adapted. Kikiam has long been one of the
most beloved tusok-tusok (street food) among Filipinos in the Philippines. Try this
September 2022 / Business Plan 4
recipe to ensure that you can successfully prepare it in your own kitchen. Kwek-kwek is
a common street meal in the Philippines made of hard-boiled quail eggs that have
been dipped in a vivid orange batter and deep-fried. The batter is often made out of
flour, baking powder, salt, and food coloring, which was purportedly formerly used to
coat eggs that weren't successful in selling the previous day. Kwek-kwek and its ilk are
actually adored after-school and after-work snacks; they are protein- and carb-based
pick-me-ups that are dipped in hot vinegar and lavishly sprinkled with salt. Additionally,
the sauce, we added flavors like sweet, sweet and spicy and sour.

Ingredients:
- Kwek – kwek: Egg, food coloring, flour, cornstarch, pepper & salt, water
- Kikiam & Fishball : oil
- Sauce: cornstarch, water, vinegar, brown sugar, red chili, soy sauce, garlic, salt

Procedures
Kwek – kwek:
1. Put the cooked quail eggs in a jar and cover with cornstarch. Place aside.
2. Flour, salt, and pepper should be completely mixed in a basin.
3. Warm water should be used to dilute the food coloring before adding it to the
bowl with the remaining ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
4. In the mixing bowl, add all of the quail eggs, and then cover with the batter.
5. Pour cooking oil into the hot pan.
6. When the oil is heated enough, scoop the quail eggs out of the mixing dish and
deep-fry them. Make sure the batter is evenly applied to each.
7. Remove the fried quail eggs from the pan and set them on a serving platter after
a few minutes.

Kikiam & Fishball:

1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan.
2. Pan-fry the kikiam until turns golden brown.
3. Remove from the pan and then slice into serving pieces.

Sauce:
Procedure:
1. Except for the red chili, place all the ingredients in a saucepan and stir until the
sugar and flour are combined.
2. Stir constantly until it simmers over medium heat. As the sauce begins to thicken,
add the chopped red chili. It will take 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Before serving, transfer to a bowl or jar and allow it to cool.

Product #3 – Palamig (Flavored drink)

September 2022 / Business Plan 5

Product Description:
During the summer, palamig, more often known as samalamig, is a drink that
quenches your thirst. It may contain gulaman jelly or any other pulps you choose to
add, and it's typically flavored with various drink powders or a range of fruit extracts.
Regarding taste and quality, we provide the same product concept as others. The only
distinction is that we provide significantly more affordable prices. Samalamig refers not
to a single beverage but rather to a group of ice-cold beverages sold by street vendors.
Because of this, they can have a vast range of flavors and varieties.

Ingredients:
 water
 chocolate powder
 blue lemonade powder
 ice
 sugar

Procedures:

Chocolate Drink: Mix the chocolate powder with water. Stir until there’s no solid
particles of powder showing, after that you can add ice. If you like the sweeter version
of the drink, you can add more sugar base on your likings.
Blue Lemonade: Mix the blue lemonade powder with water. Stir well, adding sugar is
also optional. Finally, add ice.

PART II
MARKETING PLAN

TARGET MARKET
The target consumers of our business are teachers, parents, and children who are at least 13 years
old, regardless of gender. Users including undergraduate and graduate students, part-time students,
transfer students, and other audience segments. In order to target the appropriate market segment
while marketing a product or service, it is critical to have a clear picture of the perfect client.

COMPETITORS
We have two types of competitors, the direct and indirect. A company that provides comparable
goods or services to another business operating in the same market is said to be a direct competitor.
Our company’s direct competitors are street foods near schools; Bigbrew; Wow Mangga; and Canteen. The
indirect competitor is the Sari-Sari store.
On the other hand, indirect competitors provide different goods or services while still meeting the
same client demands as another business. The indirect competitor of our business is the sari – sari
store.

MARKETING STRATEGIES
Every Php 40.00 purchase of our consumer, they will receive freebies. It can be additional streetfood
or beverages based on what they purchased. Through that, consumers will continue in consuming
our product. Since people is one of the factors of marketing strategy because they can influence, they
might influence others to purchase or consume our product.

COMPETITIVE EDGE
Entrepreneurs need to understand the elements that will benefit their company in order to generate
revenue. Together, we will exploit these elements to outperform our competitors. The first is how
hygienic we are. We are all aware that certain street food vendors, who are our immediate
competitors, do not properly clean their utensils, tools, and, of course, containers. Being clean is a
quality of a business owner that we should always choose to uphold if we want to earn the trust of our
clients and maintain their health. Cost is the second factor to understand. The price of the ingredients
increased in tandem with the rate of inflation. Our product is tasty yet a little hefty. People won't buy
from a business whose items are expensive and tasteless, so we have chosen an aesthetic theme for
our firm to draw customers in and encourage them to purchase our products. The distance comes
third. Since we are a walk-in business, some of our clients won't need to travel far if their needs are
addressed. As a result, we will expand to a site that will profit both the business and its customers.
There are still a lot of benefits to conducting business.

PRICING
We chose cost-plus pricing as our pricing strategy. We based our price to the production cost of our
product. Our price will start as the production cost became the marking point. With that we will be
adding up or maximizing the price to make an effect, through the estimation of consumer’s demand.
As a result, the price will cover the cost, and we’ll have a profit.
