1. The parameters indicated in our design feed water should not exceed at any
point of time. Any variation can have a drastic effect on the plant operation,
efficiency, and life of components.

2. The plant is being operated and maintained strictly in accordance with the
guidelines and preventive maintenance procedures given in the operation and
maintenance manual.
3. Our scope does not cover reduction of any other parameter except the

4. The aeration system must be operated for 24 hours.

PROCESS DESCRIPTION
SCREENING AND OIL & GREASE REMOVAL

The raw sewage will be received at the bar screen to prevent large floating objects such
as trash, cloth, plastic sheets, etc. if any from entering the sump. The screened sewage
will flow into an oil and grease trap and will be collected in the below ground
equalization tank. Submersible cutter type sewage transfer pump will transfer the
screened sewage to the fine screen located at the inlet of anoxic tank.

BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT
ACTIVATED SLUDGE AERATION PROCESS
The screened sewage flows by gravity into the anoxic tank. In the anoxic tank the
denitrification process is initiated to convert all organic nitrogen, the required carbon
source is provided by sludge recirculation from the secondary clarifier. The overflow
from the anoxic tank will flow by gravity to the aeration tank.
The biological reaction is sustained by maintaining a required level of MLSS of 3000 –
3500 ppm in the aeration tank. The generation of biomass reduces the incoming BOD
and COD to greater than 95%. The aerated water flows by gravity to a secondary
settling tank.
Suitable twin lobe air blowers are provided to maintain an adequate flow of air to the
aeration tank. The aeration grid will be placed in such a manner to ensure uniform
distribution of air throughout the aeration tank. The diffusers will also be placed in such
a manner to allow them to be lifted from the tank for maintenance. The water
containing the biomass from the aeration tank flows by gravity to the Secondary
clarifier. In the Secondary clarifier, the biomass is settled at the bottom and the clear
water overflows into a treated sewage storage tank.
At regular intervals, the settled sludge at the bottom will be discharged to sludge drying
beds. The clear water overflows by gravity to the treated sewage storage tank.

DISINFECTION

Chlorination is the most common type of disinfection used worldwide. This is due to its
effectiveness in providing a good pathogen kill with the relative simplicity in operation
and maintenance. Clarified sewage shall be disinfected by dosing Sodium hypo-chlorite

solution. Sodium hypo-chlorite solution shall be prepared in the solution preparation


tank and dosed by diaphragm type electronic dosing pump.

FILTRATION
Filter feed pumps transfer the clarified water from decant
water storage tank to Multi grade filter for removal of
turbidity, Colour and Suspended solids. This filter will have to
be backwashed once in every 10 hours or whenever the
differential pressure exceeds 1.0 kgs/cm2 across the filter.

The filtered water is then passed through an Activated Carbon filter for removal of any
traces of organics and excess chlorine. The final treated water will be suitable for
gardening, horticulture and green belt development.

Project duration
Supply
14 - 16 weeks from the date of receipt of your firm order along with 20% advance. The
delivery period indicated excludes transportation period. In case the equipments are
delayed enroute due to poor weather conditions/ Riots and unrest/ Act of God / Force
majeure conditions the same should be construed as delays in supplies.
Erection and Commissioning
8 Weeks from the date of mobilisation of site. This is subject to site readiness and
availability of all utilities and services required to carry out the erection of equipments.
Payment Terms
 20% advance along with you clear purchase order.
 10% against submission of basic drawings.
 60% against Pro forma invoice prior to delivery
 10% immediately after commissioning
Warranty

Aqua Matrix warrants to the original purchaser only, against defects in material or
workmanship that develop under normal use within a period of 12 months from the
date of commissioning or 18 months from the date of delivery, whichever is earlier.

In the event of any item or component found faulty due to poor workmanship,
substandard materials, or any manufacturing defects, they shall be repaired / replaced

free of cost during the warranty period and limited to the warranties offered by the
original manufacturer. Aqua Matrix scope will be restricted to only repair /replacement
as deemed by the manufacturer. Aqua Matrix will not be liable for any other damages.
All transportation / duties / bonds required to transport the equipment to our stores
within the country or to India will be in client’s scope. Freight / local duties for all
replacements parts / equipments will be in client’s scope.

In the event of any item or component found faulty due to running the systems/
equipments with feed / inputs other than its rated / design conditions, Aqua Matrix
warranty and guarantee are deemed null and void. This warranty will not hold good for
any electrical, electronic, see-through (glass wares) and plastic items.

Jurisdiction

No legal proceedings shall be taken to enforce and claim and no suit arising out of any
contract shall be instituted except in a court of competent jurisdiction located within
the municipal limits of Chennai and in no other court.

Validity

30 days from the date of submission of offer.
