PROJECT REPORT FORMAT

Course Objective: The objective of this course is to give the students a hands-on experience in the Industry and make them aware of the practical aspects of their corporate careers.

Topic Practical Training and Project Work: At the end of the third trimester of study, each student should undertake a Project work (a) Project work may be done individually or in groups in case of bigger projects.

However, if project is done in groups, each student must be given a responsibility for a distinct topic and care should be taken to see that progress of individual topic is independent of others.
(b) Students should take guidance from an internal guide and prepare a Project report on Project Work in 2 copies to be submitted to the Director of the Institute. (c) The project should be of maximum of 10,000 words. The annexure graphs, tables etc. shall not be considered for calculation of words. (d) The Project Work should be of such a nature that it could prove useful or relevant from the marketing management angle. (e) The Project Work will be duly assessed by the internal guide of the subject and marks will be communicated by the Director to the University after receiving the seat numbers from the University along with the marks of the internal credit for theory and practical to be communicated for all other courses. (f) The project work will carry 200 marks, out of which 60 marks will be for internal assessment and 140 marks for external viva & presentation. The external viva & Presentation shall be conducted by a minimum of two external examiners. Project Work can be carried out in the Institute or outside with prior permission of the Institute 1) Format of the Project report 1. Paper: The report shall be typed on white paper, A4 size or continuous stationary, Bond paper for final submission. The report for submission to the university must be in original and the other copy can be a photocopy 2. Typing: The typing shall be of standard letter size ARIAL 12 font or times new roman 12 font, double spaced on one, side of the paper only, using black ribbon/cartridge. 3. Margins: Left 35 mm, Right 20mm, Top 35 mm, Bottom 20 mm

4. Binding: The report shall be rexin bound in black with gold embossing for front cover 5. Front Cover: The front cover should contain the following details: Top: Title in block capitals 6mm to 15 mm lettering Center: Name of student in block capitals of 6mm to 10mm lettering Bottom: Name of University, Institute, year of submission all in block capitals of 6 mm to 10 mm lettering on separate lines with proper spacing and centering. 2) Contents: The report should contain the following y y y y y y y Institute Certificate Certificate from Company Acknowledgements Abstract List of figures Tables Nomenclature & Abbreviations

3) Chapters of the Project report: 1. Introduction to the topic and reasons for selecting the topic 2. Company/Organization profile 3. Scope of work 4. Objective of the project work 5. Methodology 6. Information and Analysis 7. Observations & Findings 8. Limitations 9. Suggestions 10. Bibliography 11. References 12. Annexure (Graphs, Tables etc) 4) Chapters Numbering: Chapter shall be numbered in Arabic Numerals. Section and subsection of any chapter shall be in decimal notations. All chapters shall begin on a new page. Page numbers would be given from the first chapter of the project report
