1. Height of a teak tree is 25m, GBH is 40cm and Form Factor is 0.6. calculate its volume (3
marks)

2. A length of Eucalyptus tereticornis log measures diameter of 70cm at bottom 55cmat middle
and 40cm at the top. Calculate its volume and express in cubic meter (3 marks)

3. Calculate the number of plants required for 10 hectares of Eucalyptus plantations in which
seedlings are planted in the escapement of 3m x 2m and 5m x 5m (4 marks)

III. Short Notes (Any 5) Question 5 x 1 = 5.00

1. Trees suitable for Oil seeds

2. Trees suitable for urban forestry.

3. List out various instruments to measure the height of standing trees based on similar
principles.

4. List the different methods of sowing.
