Option 1

Article 1

The article “Donald Trump says ‘women are tremendous’ after attack on row” on BBC

News demonstrates how has Trump has shielded his association with females, viewing them as

incredible. In this article, Donald Trump does not fall short of apologizing for offensing a Fox

News press officer. It further reveals that he was being criticized for holding that Megy Kelly

was as hard on him in the televised debate as in her monthly periods. As a result, the article

reveals that Trump held that only a “sick person” would understand and tackle his issue the

manner Kelly does. The article notes that he communicated to several news outlets holding that

he had a great association with women in business a few days after. He outlines that women are

phenomenal, and he has several of his executives’ officers being women. Also, through this

article, Trump is seen appreciating women on their job well done, as he holds that he pays them

good money. In the article, women generate money for him as they do the same to themselves.

Trump complicates himself by asserting that these are more talented in some situations, but he

ends up holding that these women can be killers in some cases. This article shapes Mr. Trump as

a presidential candidate for the coming election. Based on the question asked by Ms. Kelly, the

article notes that most challengers of Mr. Trump asked him to apologize. As a result, a

significant United States conservative forum ended up dropping him as a spokesperson in the stir

of the comments.

The information presented in this article is more accurate and credible to the reader. The

information presented is genuine, as it has firsthand information from the concerned individual.

Firsthand information experience appeals me to the reader because they provide real facts and
3

opinions of the speaker. Also, the article is engaging as it has a clear flow of events. A particular

fact is given after another one has been completed, thus promoting fluency of ideas in the article.

Consistency in the article was highly maintained for credibility. In his case, there are no en

dashes (-) and em dash utilized in this article. This makes the article deemed a well-organized

one with an outstanding style in the reader's eyes. The article also does it as it gives the most

important ideas in the real world that are being communicated correctly and effectively.

On the contrary, the article does not provide enough information to the reader. This

article is too brief, thus limiting the reader to a few facts, which does not provide a clear

overview of what was communicated. The information provided seems loosely attached, with

more of it being dubbed from the direct speech of Mr. Trump. Also, the article seems to have

inadequate or unfocused topic sentences. The article does not have a consistent progression that

effectively helps to attain reasonable well through final remarks.

Article 2

The article, "Donald Trump: no apology on 'blood' remark GOP backlash," published

August 10, 2015, by Eric Bradner, shows how Donald Trump stood by the remarks he made

criticizing a debate moderator, Megyn Kelly. This article notes that Mr. Trump defended himself

extensively by holding that he did not utter something wrong because he values women a lot.

From the article, Mr. Trump did not signify that Ms. Kelly had asked him a very sharp question

during the presidential candidates’ because she was in her periods. He holds that he cannot make

such statements as such utterances can only be conveyed by a sick person. The article further

outlines that the precise exchange with Tapper portrayed how swiftly Mr. Trump has moved

from a frontrunner who has defied the laws of politics to the communal face of a campaign in

turmoil. The idea prompted his Republican party to slam his incendiary selection of words,
4

attacking with a vigor not witnessed during previous controversies during his presidential bid.

The backlash of these utterances strongly impacts the presidential candidate compared to the

earlier comments concerning the Mexican immigrant and Senator McCain’s war-hero condition.

Many people, especially those from the opposing side, termed his attack on the debate

moderator offensive and formulated based on gender. However, this did not shame the

presidential candidate. He tackled the situation characteristically, thus denying offering an inch

to his detractors and replying to Tapper that he did not do anything wrong. He blamed his

opposing presidential candidates and held that they were cultivating controversy and concluded

that he intended to refer to Ms. Kelly's nose and ears but not a lady's period. Also, the article

notes that after the interview, Mr. Trump went ahead on Twitter to attack the only woman racing

in the 17-person Republican presidential primary field. He also went ahead to attack whoever

had criticized his comments and said that many had lost control because they were underlooking

the strong ideas that he had delivered. His utterances prompted blogger Erickson to revoke his

invitation to the weekend’s conservative RedState Gathering.

When reading the article, one realizes that it has some consistency and interests the mind.

The information provided in the article is sufficient enough and greatly promotes a sense of

readability. Most of the ideas revolve around the whole idea of Mr. Trump uttering some ill-fated

phrases that seem to uphold the idea of gender inequality. The narration provided in the article

promotes credibility as the article was written with authority. It significantly employs an

authoritative but approachable voice in the content. The ideas in the article are presented easily

and clearly with lots of confidence. This means that the author had a strong mastery of the facts.

Thus, a more practical logic was employed in the article. However, the information in the article

comes in many ways, which might deviate some readers from the main issue of discussion.
5

Based on the above analysis, the article, "Donald Trump: no apology on 'blood' remark

GOP backlash," published on august 10, 2015 by Eric Bradner, is reliable. This article provides

sufficient information on the topic, as it elaborates on the common facts that arise from the
