Task 2:
Instructions:
1.Cite personal incidents/ moments in your life that you feel you have become:
a.Maka-Diyos
- In everything, I do and in each moment of my life, praying to God has become my
routine and salvation. Praying is how you build a connection with God. Through ups and
down I always tell myself to be grateful for the blessings that I received from Him.
In our church, I am member of our Choir that is why my heart is close to God. Although,
I can’t deny the fact that sometimes I doubted Him for the challenges that I have
experienced. One situation is when I was bullied in school, I was questioning myself and
Him on what lacks in myself and why others have things that I wish I had. I think it’s
normal to questioned everything especially when you are broke and scared. However,
God works in a mysterious way and He will show you the greatest blessing you can
receive if you continue to believe in Him.
b.Makatao
- I believe initiating peace is the simplest yet powerful thing you can offer to others.
Little did we know that there is so much hate and conflict in our society nowadays.
Peace with each other is the least yet big thing that we can do to the people with us.
Also, when someone is testing my patience, I always believe in the power of speaking
and silence. I believe that you can only say what you wanted to say at the beginning
and be silent after since you can’t control what others think of you. Also, it promotes
peace and for me, that’s already a ‘makatao’ or human thing that you can contribute. To
not exaggerate the mess and continue to initiate peace with others.
c.Makakalikasan
- Following the basic etiquettes in our environment is not an exhausting thing to do. I
observe in the public places that people don’t follow the garbage rules on where they
will throw their trash even though there is a big sign of Biodegradable, non-
biodegradable and recycle on a bin. I make sure that I follow these rules for the
organization and safety of others. I always keep my little trash such as candies in my
pocket and carry it at home to throw it. I am also proud that we separate the bio and
non-bio trash at our home and we continue to practice the cleanliness.
d.Makabansa/Makabayan
- Speaking up against oppression and advocating about the rights of people is the
proudest thing that I do as a Gen-Z. We all know that our country is facing a corruption
and injustices. It is important that we always voice out our opinions about the wrong
things that we observe in our country. I always believe that there are people who are
being hold back and enslaved by the exploitive person. So, we need to use our voice to
speak up for those who cannot speak and fight for those who cannot fight.
2.Explain the details. What have you learned and realized out from that experience?
- Praying helps me accept and embrace the normal thing that I shouldn’t consider as a
‘flaws. He helps me cope up with the sadness and as well as to see the goodness in
every situation. Today, I can say that I am now a better version of myself with my
passion and faith with Him as my shield.
- In being “makatao” I learned that not causing conflict to others and not to fuel the
existing conflict can bring a peace of mind to everyone. Also, respecting each other is
should always been a top priority.
- Simple things matter. I always believe that if we treat mother nature right, it will also
treat us good and better. We should take care the places we lived in because of the
benefits it gives us and the consequences we can received if did not treat it better.
- Philippines is the country that we lived and treasure. Let us not kill the democracy and
freedom among its citizen and continue to fight what we believed in.
