SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
The researchers will make use of the baking soda, water, salt, vinegar. soap as the main raw materials of
this experiment before the experiment begins the researchers found these materials at their own
perspective homes the total weight of these materials are 147.15 grams. The whole experiment was
conducted at each members home, the researchers took advantage of the equipment on their homes.
The making of the fire extinguisher involves various procedures for experimentation purposes there are
four steps in making this alternative fire extinguisher. In the first step we will drill a hole on the cap of
the water bottle, about 3/16 of an inch. The 2 nd step we will put about 1 oz of vinegar , 2 oz of water and
a little bit of soap . 3rd step is that you need 2 sheets of toilet paper to put the baking on it. It is
important you leave space in the middle so that you can roll the toilet paper, fold it to two sections and
twist the end. In the 4th step we will insert the toilet paper roll in to the bottle cap hole and screw up the
cap on to the bottle. then the substance will be observe for a week this test will check if the fire
extinguisher could still put out fires with the many days it was left on observation after being observed
for a week it was fine, There are various plausible factors that could affect the result of the experiment
The amount of water. When utilized must be the right amount for it to mix evenly. Secondly There might
be discrepancies when measuring the weight of the baking soda, And finally, even though humans have
the ability to observe a subject it would be very hard to measure the time of observation of the
alternate fire extinguisher. As a result, slight time measurement errors could occur and results may vary
depending on the process done.
