RE: Recall to Work Notice
Dear [first name],
I hope you have been keeping well during your temporary layoff. I am pleased to inform you that [Business Name]
is able to recall you back to your position. In accordance with Alberta Employment Standards, I am providing you
with seven (7) days’ notice that you are being recalled to work. You are expected to return to work on [insert date]
at [insert time].
[Business Name] has reviewed worksite hazards related to COVID-19 and has implemented the following new
measures to assure the safety of staff and guests:
[list new safety measures]
[e.g., Installed plexiglass barriers in front of front desk stations]
[e.g., Revised housekeeping protocols and procedures to reduce the risk of coming in contact with
contaminated surfaces]
On your first day back to work, you will be trained on new policies, protocols, and procedures that have been
implemented at the property.
For your safety, as well as the safety of your colleagues and guests, staff are not permitted to come to work if
you:
have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days,
are experiencing flu-like symptoms (employees with symptoms must not come to work for at least 10
days following the onset of any COVID-19 symptoms, or until the symptoms resolve, whichever is longer),
are living with anyone who is experiencing flu-like symptoms,
have been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days, and/or
are required to be in self-isolation upon your scheduled return-to-work date.
