ARTICULATION: PROVEN SOLUTION FOR SAFETY & COMFORT

Articulated technology consists in placing bogies between cars. This
architecture was specifically designed for very-high-speed and has
been proven for 40 years. It offers numerous advantages, particularly
in terms of safety: the rigidity of the train prevents deformation and
largely limits the risk of tipping over in the event of derailment. It also
ensures enhanced resistance to crosswinds, along with the
elimination of most vibrations and track noise, to offer a high level

AN OPTIMISED TRAIN TO MINIMISE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND
MAINTENANCE COSTS
Concentrated traction allows the optimisation of maintenance
activities, as most equipment is located in the two power cars. The
use of articulated technology leads to a reduction in the number of
bogies, which allows maintenance savings and a lower energy
consumption, by limiting aerodynamic resistance. Finally, the train
includes the latest generation of tele-diagnostic systems (Condition-
Based Maintenance), helping maximise fleet reliability and
availability.
