Safety Awareness
Please read and understand thoroughly the safety awareness guidelines before use. The items indicated here are very important safety precautions which must be followed.

Do not let cool air blow directly at for long periods. Possible health problems may occur. Do not pull the power cable. Hold plug to unplug when disconnecting power or part of the cable may break and cause fire.
Do not connect at the middle of the power cable or extend it Do not use multi hole sockets. Possible fire or electric shock may occur for poor connection, bad insulation and excessive allowable current.
Do not plug power cable when in operation (Spark may appear and cause fire). Pull the power plug out of the outlet or cut off the power supply when you dont use the air conditioner for a long time. Accumulated dirt may cause fire.
Do not damage power cable or do joining work. It may cause short circuit or electric shock.
Provide a power outlet to be used exclusively for each unit and power supply disconnect and circuit breaker..

Safety Awareness
Clean the air conditioner with a soft dry cloth. Do not use chemical solvent, insecticide, inflammable-spraying material or which damage the appearance of the air conditioner for cleaning. The appliance shall be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations. The appliance must not be installed in the laundry. The appliance must be installed 2.3m above the floor. The appliance must be positioned so that the power can be disconnected.
Do not put burning appliances at the place where air can be blown directly by the conditioner or insufficient burning may occur.
Do not install the air conditioner near flammable gas storage as. If there is accidental electrical short circuit from the air conditioner it may cause fire or explosion from the flammable gas.
Stop operation and disconnect power immediately if there is a burning smell from the unit.
Do not use for special purposes such as to store precession equipment, food and paintings.
Close windows and doors while operating the air conditioner.
Do not operate air conditioner at cool/dry mode for a long time under high humidity (above 80%).

Remote Controller Preparation
Open back cover, insert batteries. Press the button with a pointed object to adjust the time.
Press the HR and MIN buttons to set the correct time.
Press the button again tos et the time.
Warning If the remote control operation does not appear to be working, replace the batteries and try again. The Remote controller should be less than six metres away from the indoor unit. Treat the remote control carefully. Do not allow it to fall to the floor. When a button is pressed, the indoor unit will emit a beep once or twice. Remove the batteries if the remote control is not going to be used

Operation of Air Conditioner

Run/Stop
Press the I/O button to Start and Stop the operation.
Temp Adj
Press the Temp Adj button to increase or decrease the temperature by 1 degree.
Fan Adj
Press the Fan Adj button to vary the speed of the fan from Low, Medium. High and Auto
Sleep
Select the Sleep button to set the sleep operation which sets the room temperature to a comfortable level and maintains it overnight.
Air Flow
Change the air flow direction by pressing the Manual Swing button from 1 5 angles. In Dry or Cool mode, air blows downward in positions 4 5 for one hour and revert to horizontal blowing automatically to prevent possible condensation drips. By pressing the Auto Swing button, the deflector swings automatically .
The air flow can be directed left and right by manually adjusting the deflectors. Complete the adjustment before operation as the swinging deflector may trap your fingers.

In Dry or Cool mode its advised to select the deflector in AUTO mode as air blows at point (1). In heat mode, selecting AUTO deflect at point (5). Control the deflector with the remote controller and avoid turning deflector with hand to prevent injury.

Mode Adjustment a. Auto Mode When selected the unit will turn into COOL ,DRY or HEAT mode depending on room temperature. Operation stops for two hours and restarts in the same mode set as before operation was stopped. Once operation mode is set, it will not be influenced even if room temperature has changed. Press MANUAL SWING button or SWING button to change air flow direction. b. Cool Mode Press MANUAL SWING button or SWING button to change the up/down air flow direction. Press FAN SPEED button to control the fan speed of the indoor unit. Press the TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT button to change to the required temperature. c. Dry Mode Dehumidifies the room. Press the SWING and FAN controls as above for desired settings. d. Fan Mode This mode acts as a normal fan would by recycling the air. e. Heat Mode Use the same controls as COOL MODE except select a lower temperature.

Timer Operation Check to make sure the remote control is indicating the correct time. If
not , set the correct time using the steps described earlier. Select time operation Press Press
-I to choose start time when air conditioner is not operating. -O to choose stop time when air conditioner is operating
Setting time When
-I or
-O flashes on the display, setting time function is active.
When -I flashes in the display, press HR and MIN to the time you require the machine to start. When -O flashes in the display, press HR and MIN to the time you require the machine to stop Time on and time off can be combined to control the machine operation. The direction shows the sequence of the function and the function nearest the present time is first activated.

Service and Maintenance
For units not used for a long time
Start the unit on FAN ONLY for 3-4 hours to completely dry the unit before setting to COOL or HEAT mode.
For units not to be used for a long time
Turn off the air conditioner, disconnect the power supply and take the batteries out of the remote control.

Service and Maintenance
Deodorization filter, Air Cleaner must be cleaned every couple of months. Open front panel only after air conditioner stops completely.
Take out the filters
Clean filters with a vacuum cleaner or by tapping them gently. If they are very dirty you may clean them in warm water.
Rinse in clear water and dry in cool air

Fault Confirmation and Analysis
Air conditioner does not operate at all Possible power failure

Remote control does not work and does not display
If disturbed abnormally or operation modes changed too quickly sometimes this causes the controller to lose function. Please turn power off and on again
If remote control displays are unclear, please change the batteries.
Unit not running straight away when I/O button selected
Sometimes the microprocessor acts in a way to protect the compressor. Please leave for 5-10 minutes.
Cooling and heating efficiency is not good

Indoor unit fan stops for about ten minutes during heating
It is defrosting the outdoor unit coil. It should complete this process in about 10 minutes at most. It freezes when outdoor temperature is low and humidity is high.
Unit issues cracking sounds
These are friction sounds caused by expansion and contraction of the front panel of the unit resulting from temperature changes
You can hear the sound of running water
It may be the sound of expanding refrigerant inside the unit
Sound of accumulated water dropping on the heat exchanger
Indoor unit issues poosh sound and click.
Click sound is the fan and compressor when switching on and off.
Poosh sound is refrigerant inside the conditioner
Outdoor unit leaks water
This is a normal process in the cycle
