BASIC EDUCATION LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN
School Year 2021 – 2022
I. Rationale
Education should be our top priority. Despite the present condition, DepEd is
guided with the pronouncement of our Secretary, Leonor M. Briones, “Education Must
Continue”. Indeed, the issuance of DepEd Order No. 029 s. 2021 School Calendar and
Activities for School Year 2021-2022 and Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan,
translate the commitment of DepEd to ensure educational continuity amid the crisis but
the health and safety of our learners and the whole school communities are of utmost
importance and must be always protected.
The current pandemic has brought challenges and changes in most communities,
workplaces and even households. Many adjustments in lifestyles and modifications in
the way businesses work must be made to cope with the demands of this unusual
situation. The continuous extension of community quarantine implementation has
caused inevitable conditions among everyone; from being uncertain and feeling distress,
to eventually learning to embrace a “new normal”. Greatly affected by such is the school
system; hence, this SHOOL LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN (SLCP) is drafted to
somehow lessen the uncertainties and distress, as regards the school learning of
Damilag Integrated School learners.
II. Goal
The purpose of this SLCP is to present the holistic programs of Damilag Integrated
School. The school prioritizes learning and continue the provision of Access, Quality and
Liberating Education under the new normal of basic education due to the COVID-19
threat environment in school year 2021-2022.
This situation is the most opportune time for the institution to promote a
nurturing learning environment. It is a calling to every member of this institution to be
compassionate and susceptible to the conditions and needs of the students, teachers,
and parents. Thus, this SLCP is developed to be responsive to the current situation of
the country. It includes innovative and research-oriented delivery modes and
instructional strategies that would keep the quality of education in the gradual embrace
of the new normal.

III. Objectives
To develop comprehensive plan on the continuity of learning through
flexible learning delivery options using different modalities (localized and contextualized)
with emphasis on distant learning;
To prepare the school for the actual teaching and learning activities during the
opening of classes.
To deliver effectively and efficiently the “Most Essential Learning Competencies
(MELC)” to ensure quality education.
To ensure adherence to policies and guidelines set by DepEd, LGU, DOH, IATF,
and OP to safeguard the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, and stakeholders.
IV. Conceptual Framework
This framework has three important elements the learner, the school, and the
home. Both the school and the home support the learner, who is considered as the most
important element in the teaching and learning process. Damilag Integrated School
learners are formed to become good and upright citizens both in school and at home,
with both educators and parents actively engaged in the fulfilment of their respective
roles and responsibilities in this process.
The school supervises and implements the curriculum and instructions and
administers assessments. Likewise, it sees to it that all learning support systems are in-
place, most especially its technological capability to deliver instruction and to yield
better results.
The learning modalities to be used are the following: the distance learning-
modular learning modality and the hybrid learning, which is the combination of the face-
to-face and online or modular, where the students are allowed to go back to school and
have the face to face or the physical learning at the same time having a module with the
remaining subjects. However, the implementation of these learning modalities is still
dependent on the health situation and on the advice of the Inter Agency Task Force
(IATF) on COVID-19 Pandemic.
