Abstract and Computation

This document describes an RLC series circuit simulation. It contains: 1) Tables showing the simulated and computed voltages and currents in an RLC series circuit with various resistor, inductor, and capacitor components when connected to a 220V power source. 2) The voltages and currents were found to be within 3.23% accuracy between the simulated and computed values. 3) RLC series circuits are used in applications requiring low and high frequency signals, serving as both a variable tuned circuit and oscillator. They are important to understand.

Abstract = 644.7632Ω ∠ 41.

When R ohms pure resistance, L Henry pure E

inductance, and C farads pure capacitance are
I=
Z
connected in series with each other, an RLC Series
Circuit is established. The current flowing through each 220 V
¿
element of the series circuit will be the same as the 644.7632Ω
overall current flowing in the circuit because all three
elements are connected. This laboratory exercise = 0.3412105539 A
simulates the use of RLC series circuits, which are used
in many applications requiring low and high frequency
E R=IR
signals. These circuits are critical to comprehend since
= (0.3412105539A) (484Ω)
they serve as both a variable tuned circuit and an
oscillator. It also serves as a voltage multiplier and a = 165.1459081V
