1.0 Summary
This report aims to analyse the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of
horizon fitness gym in Barka during the ongoing COVID19 pandemic. They need to
improve the adjust, re-adjust and re-evaluate their gym strategies to continuation. Also,
when analysing the given categories of horizon fitness gyms in Barka it should be
important to consider location, size, COVID 19 lockdown impact, and staff. However,
should be heaving a lot of recommendations to the horizon fitness gym in Barka to keep
and grow in the future. 
The report has consisted of an analysis of the horizon fitness gym in Barka and the
analysis was founded on data collected from different sources: research on websites
internet about the horizon fitness gym in Barka, communication with Instagram account
and interviews with employees. The analysis has led to conclude that horizon fitness
gym in Barka has many weaknesses in COVID 19 lockdown impact, staff, and
competitors. There are some recommendations were written such as, increase the
numbers of customers, provide more machines or products and raising the level of
service.

2.0 Introduction
This report aims to analyses the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of horizon
fitness gym in Barka through by spread COVID 19 in all provinces in sultanate of Oman.
They must develop their gym strategies to avoid all challenges which effect on the
continuation. Also, they need to analyze many points about horizon fitness gyms in Barka
such as, location in dense area, size of building, COVID 19 lockdown impact of customers
and staff. However, must be followed lot of recommendations to become more famous
between other gyms the sultanate of Oman.

Furthermore, this report was requested by Mr. Abdullah Al-Hosni the director of SME Oman.
The report focuses SWOT analysis of Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka. The report will be
submitted on 12th of April 2021 at 6pm by turn tin.

In addition, all data used in the report was collected by research in websites internet about the
horizon fitness gym in Barka and other related website. Also many additional data were
collected by interviews with employees. In fact, to get more reliable data, as well as getting
data by communicate with instagram account.

The structure of this report is divided into six sections which are: Summary, Introduction,
Findings, Conclusion, Recommendation and References. The introduction provides the aim,
terms of reference, the sources of information collection and report structure. After that
finding represents the analysis between the four SWOT. Next the conclusion displays the
analysis of the horizon fitness gym in Barka which has done in finding. Then the
recommendations will show some idea to success the reports aim. Finally the list will display
the reference sources used in the report.

3.0 FINDINGS
The following points discuss the 15 main points which have been carried out in analysis
between SWOT:

3.1 Location/Area
One of the major of findings this report that location of the Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is
one of its main weaknesses as it is located in a busy area with small streets and dense area.
Moreover, the location is not available for all customers and there is no more parking for
cars. In addition, the gym can availed of an opportunity provide a new building near the main
road with additional parking. This will attract more customers.

3.2 Size (small, large corporation)


One of the major findings of this report that size of the Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is one
of its main weaknesses as it is most mistakes for the gym choosing a small of building and
will get few customers also, few numbers of equipment’s. On the other hand, the gym can
make a new idea of an opportunity change the size of the gym to get more customers.

3.3 COVID 19 Lockdown Impact


One of the major findings of the report indicates that COVID 19 lockdown Impact of the
Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is one of its main weaknesses as it is impacted reducing the
number of customers and employees. However, the Impact is new difficult style for
customers and employees in the changing work ways and daily practices. In addition, there is
serious threat that gym will shut down in after several months later.

3.4 Staff

in Barka is one of its base strengths as it is staff interested to cleaning the gym and keeps  the

One of the basic results of the report displays those competitors of the Horizon Fitness Gym
in Barka is one of its main strengths as it is competitor’s encouraged full development in all
sides. However, the competitors are decided the gym to doing training courses for staffs to
reach something different that amazes everyone. In addition, the gym can benefit of an
opportunity add new ideas to attract the costumers to them.

3.6 Running cost


One of the major finding of the report indicates that running cost of the Horizon Fitness Gym
in Barka is one of its main weaknesses as it is running cost has increased due to the pay for
equipment’s investments without daily use. The second things are the highest cost is paying
the salaries for staff and rent without daily work. Moreover, there are dangerous threat that
gym will lose a lot of money so will decided to close the gym after few months later.

3.7 Current profit Range


One of the major findings of the report indicates that current profits range of the Horizon
Fitness Gym in Barka is one of its main weaknesses as it is current profits range dropped due
to reducing some of the services provided by the gym as a result for that decreases sharing
the customers in the gym. However, the gym can availed of an opportunity doing advertising
to attract customers and active the offers to have more profits.

 3.8 Potential Customers


One of the major findings of the report indicates that potential customers of the Horizon
Fitness Gym in Barka in one of its main weaknesses as it is potential customers are not
allowed to do the activities  without mask and can't doing the activities in a long time due to
the time is specific for each persons. Moreover, there is dangerous threat that the gym will
severely decrease in new consumers and the old members are leave after few years.

One basic result of the report shows those products type range of the Horizon Fitness Gym in
Barka is one of its main strengths as it is products type range focusing on sports products of
all kinds. Next, choose products of high trade quality. However, the gym can availed of an
opportunity developing products and giving clear details through social media.

3.10 Current Marketing Strategies


One of the major findings of the report indicates that current marketing strategies of the
Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is one of its main strengths as the costumers can buy the
products through online marketing by Instagram account. Also, they are having delivery to all
areas in the sultanate of Oman. In addition, the gym an opportunity can have more customers
by using the adverting’s in screen board near street or YouTube.

3.11 Sale
One of the basic results of the report shows those sale of the Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is
one of its main strengths as it is sale making the gym more famous so that will give more
attractive for all customers. However, there is serious threat that will become a lot of
competition between other gyms.  

3.12 Risk Management Strategies


One basic result of the report shows that risk management strategies of the Horizon Fitness
Gym in Barka is one of its main strengths as it is following the social distancing system and
decreasing the number of customers when Covid-19 spread in Oman. Moreover, the gym can
avail from an opportunity to fully clean the equipment after the person finishing from doing
the exercises. In addition, there is a serious threat that will cause large losses in profits of
gym.

One of the basic results of the report shows those current resources/assets of the Horizon
Fitness Gym in Barka is one of its main strengths as it is having different resources for
example an equipment’s ,products and services. In addition, the gym can availed of an
opportunity improve the resources to avoid all changes expected in the gyms.

One of the fundamental results of the report displays that Survival /Growth chances of the
Horizon Fitness Gym in Barka is one of its base strengths as it is having high quality of the
equipment’s. In addition, the employees having different features and high experiences to
explaining how to do the exercises for the consumers. Moreover, the gym can availed of an
opportunity growth which helps to continue the developing in all sections.

3.15 Organizational structure


One fundamental result of the report displays that organizational structure of the Horizon
fitness Gym in Barka is one of its base strengths as it wants to increase the number of trainers
with international certificates. Also, adding modern equipment with more safety. Moreover,
the gym can avail of an opportunity of expansion and spread in the provinces sultanate or in
another country.

4.0 Conclusion
The main point of this report was to analysis the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and
threats of horizon fitness gym in Barka spread COVID 19 in all provinces in sultanate of
Oman. Based on the previous analysis and the finding of SWOT. The conclusion shows is
that horizon fitness gym in Barka, is strong and opportunities in a few points where it has all
types of products and has the high number of trainers with international certificates. In
addition, the costumers can buy the products through online marketing. Also, they have high
quality of the equipment’s. Moreover, they depend on different resources.
On the other hand, horizon fitness gym in Barka has many weak and threats points like it has
reducing some of the services provided by the gym. Moreover, decrease new consumers and
the old members. Furthermore, have a lot of competition between other gyms. Additionally,
reducing the number of customers and employees due COVID 19. Finally, horizon fitness
gym in Barka located in a busy area with small streets.

5.0 Recommendations
The report shows recommends that Horizon fitness Gym in Barka should:

 Open a new building near the main road.

 Choose a different size of the gym.

 Develop the services and add new equipment’s.

 Improve new ideas to attract the costumers.

 Make a lot of advertising and active the offers to have more profits.

 Provide new products and put more details through social media.
 Increase customers by using the adverting’s in screen board near street or YouTube.

 Improve the resources to avoid all changes expected in the gyms.

 Continue the development in all sections to Growth the gym.


 Focus on expansion in the provinces sultanate or in another country.
