VD Assignment Hassaan

The document discusses simulation results for a vehicle's drive path, steer angle, and lateral acceleration at speeds of 10 mph, 40 mph, and 70 mph, showing that higher speeds create larger yaw angles and higher lateral acceleration. The simulation aimed to obtain yaw and steer characteristics independently of the path at different speeds.

For a 40-mph speed

For a 70-mph speed

Note: A random path generator was used for simulating the vehicle at the three
different speed rates, as the main aim of this simulation was to obtain the yaw and
steer characteristics only, independent of the path at the speeds, yet the standard
path modeling was obtained regarding the speeds.

Results and Conclusions

The results obtained proved that the increasing speeds, create larger yaw angles
due to bigger inertia of the vehicle. The lateral acceleration is also directly
proportional to the speed, meaning an increase in speed causes an increase in
lateral acceleration as can be seen from the graphs.
