PROPOSED ACTIVITIES FOR “IT’S SCI-O’ CLOCK: SCIGAW KALIKASAN TIME”

The Schools Division of Ilocos Norte launched “It’s Sci O Clock: SCIgaw Kalikasan Time”
project on April 22, 2022. This is to strengthen and reinforce the integration of environmental education
in the school environment in accordance with one of its core values which is Makakalikasan.
All living things survive within their own favorable zones of environment – thus the environment is not
something that can be neglected easily without caring for it. Although the environment can continue to
survive in its natural state, human intervention has caused extensive destructions in many ecosystems.
We should have to protect and sustain the environment not for only living creatures, but for the plants
and trees that can provide even more benefits to us direct by providing us with oxygen which we need
to breath, food to eat, natural habitats for variety of animal species and many more. As we witness the
current environmental issues now, we should be alert and help each other in saving our nature so that
we can continue to live on this planet – in a healthy and safe atmosphere.
