2. Gazette of summer examination 2022
3. My result analysis for last 3 years
4. Roll list of students duly signed by principal
5. Result analysis sheet for summer 2022 examination
6. List of students occupied college hostel facility

Respected sir,

1. On the face of the said show cause notice I would like to strongly register my
protest which compelled me to reply to the said show cause notice within a
shortest timeframe of 3 days instead of regular 14 days’ period by law.
Additionally, under the prevailing circumstances my reply to the said show cause
notice is bound to be affected by the said shortest timeframe. The said show
cause notice dated Wednesday, 03 August 2022 issued to me is delivered to me
on the same day inter-alia alleging charges namely,
I. As per result analysis of MSBTE examination summer 2022, my subject
result is less than 60%.
II. Management has asked to take strict action against me.
2. I would like to state that my chemistry department is an integral part & parcel of
the “Institute”. The said “Institute” is bound to provide appropriate attentions to
the recommendations, suggestions & complaints of my department for the
betterment purposes however, the same is not well maintained at the Institute’s
end. I have included requirements of chemistry department in reference number
10.
3. I say that that you have recently taken the additional charge as Principal and
hence likely that the past is not well versed by you.
4. As mentioned in the reference 3, I have attached my subject result analysis for
the last three years. It can be concluded that it is in in the line with previous years
result without any abrupt change. The result is almost consistent.
5. The academic session started on 15th February 2022 but college management
have not started its bus service for students and staff. The reasons for sudden
withdrawal of bus facility is unknown to me. This has adversely affected the
attendance of students in class. Even I have faced lot of problems due to
unavailability of bus facility and my regularity in college was hampered to some
extent. The strike of MSRTC was another contributor to the low attendance of
students which was ultimately reflected in their result.
6. I, state that, hostel facility was withdrawn by college management for the reasons
unknown to me. This is another factor contributing to the low attendance of the
students which ultimately translated in low result percentage.
7. I, state that the subject “Applied Science” is a combination of two subjects
namely “Chemistry” and “Physics” as per new curriculum. You haven’t
appointed any faculty for the subject Physics and therefore the entire blame of
low result cannot be put on me.
8. I, state that most of the students have passed their SSC examination in online
mode including first semester examination of 1st Year of Polytechnic. The
students have lost practice of writing and same was published in various media
reports. Students need time to adopt sudden change of online to offline mode.
This factor must be taken into account.
9. I, further state that almost 100% students have passed their eligibility
examination of SSC from Marathi Medium. The offline examination of summer
2022 was in English Medium. Many Students are not capable to cope up with
this change of writing in English medium. MSBTE is seriously taken steps to
offer polytechnic education in Marathi Medium. The implementation is still
awaited.
10. Our institute is situated in Rural Area and therefore students admitted to our
polytechnic are mostly form rural area with weak economic and financial
background. Moreover, most of the students having low percentage prefer our
polytechnic for admission as compared to other institutes with few exceptions.
This can be observed from the admission cut off percentage available on DTE
website. The students fulfilling just eligibility criteria of 35% will take some time
to cope up with entire new system of education. I am hopeful that these students
will get passing in their second attempt.
11. I request you to permit me to submit suggestions and recommendations for
improvement of result separately.
Hence, it is requested to consider my reply to your show cause notice in
optimistic manner with high spirit as every allegation is well replied based on the
facts & documents.

Dr. Varsha wagmare

Lecturer in Applied Chemistry
