Hiring Right Talent in the Right Time from the Right Source & Right Numbers @ Right cost is the
key to win the “Talent War” & excel for the organizations. Digital Technologies and Digital
Transformation in organizations is bring in sea-change in the Recruitment & Selection Processes
in organizations. The course is aimed at orienting the students (in PGP II) majoring/interested in
HR, importance & role of Recruitment & Selection (R &S) Function in organizations, digital
transformation in Talent acquisition function. The course aims at providing comprehensive
knowledge & skills related to the topic; provide insights into the current practices & emerging
trends in the area.

9. Project work
A group would comprise of maximum 4 students. The groups to be informed to Faculty in the
first class. The group will have to identify an organization, meet the people involved in
Recruitment and Selection for the organization. Get the details of the existing process in the
organization. Critically analyze the system, identify the areas of concern. The project will need to
demonstrate the ability to identify the positives and the negatives of the current system of the
organization, and most importantly give recommendations for improvement in the current
system.
The group would be expected to defend their project at an individual level by means of a
project presentation at the end of the course.
Deadlines:
a. Identification of the company: 15 days from the start of the course

b. Meeting with the people and collection of data: 1.5 months since the start of the
course
c. Analysis of information and submitting the report: Indicated timelines
d. A copy of the report would have to be sent to the company on completion of the
project. Names and contact details of the persons contacted in organization would
have to be submitted to the faculty as part of the project submission. This is for the
purpose of cross checking in case of any missing links.
10. Project Report Guidelines :
Length: There is no page limit. It is upto you to decide if the description and brief analysis
are adequate. But please remember that your project is not being physically weighed!!!
Structure : A typical paper will be structured as follows :
o Description of company : You will begin the paper by describing the company not
more than 2 pages
o Organizational Chart: The next page would contain the organizational chart. This
chart should contain the two positions that you met with.
o Description of R & S Function : Describe the structuring of R & S function in the
organization
o Data: The data would contain the information collected on the project topic.
o Analysis and Conclusion: Summarize your results. What was the most striking
finding (if any)? What are the positives and negatives of the system? What are your
recommendations to the company to improve the current system?. Application of
Theory/Models during the project.
o References : Indicate the sources of reference
Please note: The positives and negatives of the system as well as your
recommendations are the most important part of the project. It carries 50% of the
weightage.
