II. RATIONALE:
Purok 6, Maparat is one of the part of Compostela, in the province of Davao de Oro. The
purok has women association which not yet register and not yet organize. The association is
doesn’t have permanent leaders and some of the leaders are don’t have time to do their jobs.
The area is in poor sector which most of people has no permanent jobs and doing farmer only
just to survive.
We conducted a meeting to elect officers and to have their own association profile. We
also register their association to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the
association will be part of the DOLE and they can have benefits from DOLE for the livelihood
project of BBQ stick makers.
The Social Work Intern aims to facilitate the leaders and members to act together to
serve their association very well and will be develop. The Social Work intern also aims to
facilitate the association to be more active and mindful of their association and the cooperation
and participation of the women through such activity.
III. OBJECTIVES:
o The Social Work Intern conducts a seminar on Leadership Training and
Seminar/Workshop: The new leaders will know how to handle the members.
o The leaders learn the process of Leading a group/ association.
o The leaders will become more responsible and active on their task.
