Barangay Barangka Ilaya,
Mandaluyong City
Dear Mayor Abalos:
I'm writing to express my concern about how relief products and food packs are
distributed at Pioneer Woodlands and other surrounding condominiums. My
family and I have lived in Pioneer Woodlands for three years, and we
appreciate the work made in preparing and executing pandemic
countermeasures. Everyone has been made aware of the distribution of relief
products or food packs across Mandaluyong City. However, neither our
residency nor other nearby residences have received relief items or food
packages.
I saw on the internet that other families in different barangays had received
relief items or food packs, but ours had not, and months had gone with no sign
of it. Although our neighborhood is adjacent to grocery stores and
supermarkets, many neighbors have lost or been temporarily delayed in their
work, causing financial hardship for their families. My family is one of many
others that are affected by this issue.
As Mayor of Mandaluyong City, I understand you are pretty busy. While issues
with delivering relief products or food packs may appear minor, we feel this
reality of unfairness. Residents in our neighborhood are affected by this issue. We
request that this situation be addressed right now. Based on your previous
responses to the city's concerns, we are confident that you will give similar
weight to our request.
Thank you so much for your time.
Yours truly,
Isabell Dinice M. Palaganas
