III. Market Analysis
Success means in baking is to know that the process of baking requires careful timing and
organization, so having your baking station prepared with everything you'll need including all
the tools and pre-measured ingredients is vital. In the industry, this is called “mise en place.”
The bakery industry is expected to grow to over 5 million in the next five years.
Consumers are increasingly demanding healthier ingredients in bread and desserts. Successful
operators will, therefore, need to offer a greater variety of whole-grain, all-natural, or gluten-
free products in order to capitalize on these trends. Moreover, changing preferences and
increasing disposable income levels are encouraging consumers to choose more premium and
specialty varieties over conventional private-label products.
Bakery items tend to be discretionary purchases, so the revenues will also benefit from rising
per capita disposable income and consumer confidence, both of which are anticipated to
continue to grow over the next five years.
Baked Bee Bakery will primarily target the following customer profile:
Local residents of Sto. Niño to include all neighborhoods within a 5-mile driving distance
Business professionals that work and reside in the Sto. Niño area – law offices, hospitals,
clinics, insurance agencies, retail, and schools.

VII. Funding Request
As successful predecessors, we have already put a huge percentage of our own funds into the
leasing of TRES MARIA’S location and the necessary exterior repairs. The main reason we
require a loan is in order to redesign the interior of the bakery and there are a few repairs that
need to be handled. Below is a chart that explains how we will use our funds and on what.
-In total, we require a loan amount of 100,000
*Capital expenditure: 25,000 (This includes repairs/improvements needed in the shop.)
*Interior Design: 20,000 (This includes materials such as paint, the lining of floors, and furniture
such as chairs, tables, etc.)
*Supplies: 30,000 (This includes all types of baking product essentials, as well as baking/cooking
utensils/stove)
*Water and Electricity-25,000
Our plan is to have TRES MARIA’S Bakery up and running within the next 2 months. By then we
approximate that all repairs will be completed and everything will be all set to start baking for
our customers. We estimate our opening to be on May 7th.
We believe that the loan will cover our expenses for the first few months and we plan to start
repaying right away. We strongly believe our business will be a huge success and hope to start
paying off our loan within a year to a year and a half.
