III. Procedure
A. Preparation (5 mins)
Daily Routine
- Greet the class
-Prayer
-Check the attendance
B. Presentation of the Lesson (5 mins)
Swipe Left or Right
The teacher will show some statements/definition and the leaners will try to
choose to swipe left if its correct and right if it’s wrong.
C. Lesson Proper (25 mins)
The student will see pictures of Mt Mayon and Taal volcano

Three Types of Volcanoes:
There are three types of volcanoes:
 Shield Volcano - can grow to be very big. In fact, the oldest
continental regions of Earth may be the remains of ancient shield
volcanoes. Shield volcanoes are tall and broad with flat, rounded
shapes. They have low slopes and almost always have large craters at
their summits.
 Cinder cone Volcano - Cinder cones are simple volcanoes which have
a bowl-shaped crater at the summit and steep sides. They only grow to
about a thousand feet, the size of a hil
 Stratovolcano - The most majestic of the volcanoes are composite
volcanoes, also known as strato-volcanoes. Composite volcanoes are
tall, symmetrically shaped, with steep sides, sometimes rising 10,000
feet high.

Why do we have different types of volcanoes?


The process of magma formation is different at each type of plate boundary.
Therefore, the composition of magma differs in each tectonic setting. Tectonic
settings determine the types of volcanoes that form and the types of eruptions
that take place.
