Comprehensive Training For DPWH Field Engineers Batch Iii

The document discusses common field tests conducted by DPWH field engineers, including the field density test. The field density test is used to measure moisture content and compaction percentage of materials placed during backfilling or grading. It is a quality control test done onsite to evaluate soil compaction and the relative degree of compaction achieved. Specifications require a minimum compaction percentage of 100% for base and sub-base materials and 95% for embankment and sub-grade materials.
