V.PROJECT OBJECTIVES:
This proposal aims to help to the youth to have knowledge
about dengue and waste management that can affect the
community. At the end of the project, the members should
able to:
1. To dedicate efforts for the needs of the youth and the
community.
2. To identify the importance of maintaining
cleanliness;and
3.TO recognize the role of the members of the community
in maintaining their health and the cleanliness of
Community.
VI.:PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A.BACKGROUND
For this community service,the group have chosen
Magsaysay, Jabonga Agusan del Norte to be the target
recipient of the proposed project. The group have
identified that Magsaysay have two main problems needing
urgent solution in order to improve the welfare of the
people in community. This includes several reported cases
of dengue among its community members,and the causes of
storms and floods due to improper waste disposal.Among
these problems, dengue cases, storm and flooding due to
improper waste disposal are seemingly connected to each
other,thus, the group choose to take actions on these
problems.
Waste management affect households and residents by
causing issues related to their environment. Keeping your
surroundings clean will help to improve and promote
healthy mental and physical health of the people in the
community.
B. JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT
The significance of this project is to aware people
and to be know that dengue can affect their physical and
mental health. According to reported cases by
experiencing the time got physical and mental health
issue and feel of lack of motivation or to do things like
studying. In this project, the proponents or the youth
who will be joining this program is expected to become
aware of the importance of physical and mental health.
Physical and mental health issue are the leading
barrier to academic success. Physical and mental health
illness can affect the youth’s motivation,concentration,
and social interactions. So this project may help them to
understand the effects of dengue to their academic
performances, and also to help them on how to avoid it.
C. BENEFIT DERIVED FROM THE PROJECT
A youth that are creative problem solvers,ready to
take on challenges and new responsibilities. With
guidance and support. They are developing the new habits
they need to thrive in school and beyond. This simply
implies that a youth have capacity to understand basic
education on health. They will be able to develop a sense
of responsibility when it comes to waste management.
And with that the community service will assure to be
aware and maintain the safety of the community.
D. COVERAGE
The project will be cover one chosen area in magsaysay in
which there are many cases, organize by the proponents by
one month starting on July until August.

VII. METHODOLOGY
1. Conduct a needs assessment on the cleanliness of the
community.
2. Conduct program in the community
3. Gather cleaning materials (brooms, garbage bags, etc.)
4. Ask barangay officials to supervise the cleanliness
drive in the community.
5. Put up posters regarding environmental awareness.
