Hand Seamer K8 N: Seam Closure Tool

The hand seamer K8 N is used to form standing seams in sheet metal roofing panels up to 0.8mm thick in one step. It closes panels tightly and avoids damaging coated surfaces. The user positions the panel, opens the K8 N fully, and closes it along the seam to form the joint. It can be used for short sections that are difficult to access with larger power tools. Replacement parts are available.

Instruction K8 N

Hand Seamer K8 N
The hand seamer K8 N, closes formed panels into a standing seam in one
operation. With the hand seamer K 8 N you achieve a tight joint.
These light hand seamers can close any kind of material, Aluminium,
Copper, Zinc, plastic – painted or coated materials up to 0.8 mm , Stainless
Steel to 0.6mm in thickness, without damaging the surface.

Function

1. Fit the clip to the undercloak (female) and lay the next panel overcloak
(male) over the undercloak.

Open K8 N all the way, with the tube angle rod against the overcloak
and close with the closing handle, the panel to a standing seam.

Standing seam is closed. Open K8 N again, slide hand seamer about ¾ of


3. the closing length , repeat closing operation. Clean transition at the fixed - or
expansion clips.

Applications of single lock hand seamer K8N:


ê The hand seamers can be used for closing short facades , chimney , canopy , vaulted roofs, or to
secure the panel for wind up lift to the roof, for hard to get at places to start or finish , or close an
entire roof or wall.

ê If the power seamer K 9 can not be set into the panel, because of an obstruction at the beginning
or the end, close the single lock seam with the hand seamer first.

Maintenance:
The hand seamer K8 N are manufactured from rust free materials and need no maintenance at all.
