If I have a Managed @Remote Compatible Device, is there a method to create a Manual Service Call from the
Device to the @Remote Center?
Yes, this is a good tool to use for testing purposes and you can also instruct your customer how to perform this operation if you wish.

In the case of a Managed @Remote Compatible MFP.


With the Device in the Awake Condition:

Press the "Clear Mode" Key


Press 0 and Press 0 again.
Press and Hold the "Clear / Stop" Key for about 5 seconds.
A Message will appear in the Operation Panel allowing you to Place a Call.

In the case of a Managed @Remote Compatible LP (Laser Printer) with a 2 Line Display.
With the Device in the Awake Condition:

Press and Hold the "Escape" Key for about 5 seconds.


A Message will appear in the Operation Panel allowing you to Place a Call.

In the case of a Managed @Remote Compatible LP (Laser Printer) with a 4 Line Display.
With the Device in the Awake Condition:

Press the "Menu" Key to display the "Remote Service" Menu, then Select to Place a Call.

Note:
If the above does not work properly, check the following SPs, these SP's should be set to "1" or enabled.

• SP 5816-0003
• SP 5515-004, 006 and 007,
