Serology Test Result Biological Ref. Interval Units Method: Mrs. Sunita Srivastav 56 Yrs/Female 2053676 3603384 Final

Mrs. Sunita Srivastav underwent testing for dengue IgM antibodies. The test result was negative, indicating no detectable dengue IgM antibodies were present. The report notes that serological cross-reactivity can occur across flaviviruses and other diseases must be ruled out before confirming a dengue diagnosis. All positive IgM results should be referred for confirmation and epidemiological recording.

Interpretation:
Negative: No detectable dengue IgM antibody..
Equivocal:Equivocal samples should be repeated.Sample that remain equivocal after
repeat testing should be repeated by an alternative method or another sample should
be collected.
Positive: Presence of detectable dengue IgM antibody.

Remarks:
1.The result from this test are not by themselves diagnostic and should be considered
in association with other clinical data and patient symptoms.
2.Serological cross-reactivity across the flavivirus group is common (i.e.between
dengue 1,2,3&4,Murray Valley encephalitis,Japanese encephalitis, yellow fever and West
Nile viruses). These diseases must be excluded before confirmation of diagnosis.
3.All sera demonstrating a positive result by IgM capture ELISA test should be
referred to a reference laboratory for confirmation of positivity and epidemiological
