Conceptual Framework

1) This study examines the motivational factors that first-year criminology students at Taguig City University considered when choosing their field of study. It uses a survey questionnaire to gather data on factors like discipline, self-perception, teamwork, and parental expectations. 2) The data is analyzed using statistical methods to understand student motivations and present the results. The goal is to understand what draws students to criminology and address any doubts or barriers to pursuing the degree. 3) The study also aims to determine if there are significant differences between subgroups of respondents in their assessments of motivational factors like discipline, logical thinking, teamwork, and parental expectations when choosing criminology.

eyes as to how awesome to be part of the criminology
department as this program will develop one’s charact

Figure 1 shows the us of IPO Model of paradigm to illustrate the process of the

research.

The system starts with the INPUT consist of data gathered from the demographic

profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, working and non-working students.

The PROCESS shows how all the data can be gathered through survey

questionnaires and shows how the INPUT will be process using statistics for

presentation, analysis and interpretation of data.


Lastly the OUTPUT, shows the final outcome or result of the study regarding the

motivational factors to consider by the first-year students to enter the field of

criminology. This will serve as an eye opener to the youth as to how incredible to be

part of the criminology department.

Statement of the Problem

The main purpose of the study is to unfold what are the factor or things that the

first-year students S.Y 2021 – 2022 considered on entering criminology and to take off

the barriers and doubts to the youth to pursue or choose this course. Specifically, it

sought to answer sub-problems;

1. What is the level of motivation of the first year students of Taguig City University

in terms of:

1.1 Discipline

1.2 Self-perception

1.3 Teamwork

1.4 Parental expectation

2. Is there any significant difference between the assessments of two groups of

respondents on the motivational factors on choosing the Bachelor of Science in

Criminology in terms of Discipline, Logical thinking, Teamwork and Parental

expectation?

3. What becomes their hindrances and reasons of their doubts to enter Criminology?

4. What is their level of satisfaction for being part of Criminology Department?


Hypothesis

There are no significant differences between the assessments of two groups of

respondents on the motivational factors on choosing the Bachelor of Science in Criminology in

terms of Discipline, Logical thinking, Teamwork and Parental expectation.
