Scaffolding Clamp Load Capacity Guide

The document provides calculations to determine the load limit of scaffolding clamp couplers and the load capacity of scaffolding bays. It states that each coupler clamp has a minimum load limit of 612 kg according to EN 74 standards. It also calculates that a single bay of scaffolding can safely support a load of 200 kg, which provides a safety factor of 0.32 compared to the scaffolding material load capacity of 625 kg per bay.

SCAFFOLDING CLAMP COUPLER LIMIT LOAD

Base on Lower Limit of Bearing Capacity Coupler (EN 74 Standard) Match for Figure a = 6 KN 0r 612 Kg

= 2448 Kg
in every Scafolding railing must be conducted with minumum 4 (coupler clamp) to make a stand square of scaffoding building

if case of load life limit if one person hanged on it, must be:
Dead Load / bay = 60 Kg
Personel load life with asumtion weight = 80 Kg
safety factor (3 Times from Load Life Personel) = 240 Kg
Total = 300
Heavy Duty Scaffolding Material per Bay = 625 kg
*Bay is a flat area limited by 4 pieces of perpendicular pipe to the scaffold

To calculate load in one bay scaffolding

Load = 2x (Dead Load + Life Load) / 3

2 x (60 Kg + 240 Kg) /3
200 Kg

Safety Factor = 200 / 625 x 100%

= 0.32 Safe
