Railrod MMA Electrode Data Sheet

This document provides information on Metrode's Railrod electrode product for rail welding. Key details include: - It is an MMA electrode with a basic flux coating and low moisture absorption for welding rail steels up to 0.8% carbon. - Typical weld metal properties include a tensile strength of 900 MPa and impact energy of 18-48 J at 20°C. - It is designed for butt welding rail ends and can also weld bars, plates, and flanges. Proper preheat and interpass temperatures are important for good fusion without excessive slag.
