tensile shear strength shall be > 9 MPa.
A cohesive failure in the adhesive with coating separation < 50% is permissible.
For zinc-iron alloy (galvannealed) more than 50% removal of the coating is permissible.
For adhesives with special properties (shear strength and tenacity) an agreement between design, steel and
adhesive experts must be reached before using the material relevant for structures with higher demands.
3.1.3.3 Microstructure Requirements.
3.1.3.3.1 Grain Size.
GM – Latin America: Grain size shall be No. 7 or finer for cold rolled products and No. 6 or finer for hot rolled

GM - Europe: Grain size shall be No. 8 or finer for IF based materials.
3.1.3.3.2 Inclusions.
GM – Asia Pacific (ISUZU): Inclusions refer to sub-clause 14.2 of JFS A 1001.2001.
3.2.4.3 Stretcher Strains.
GM – Asia Pacific (ISUZU): Japanese non-aged type of cold rolled shall be free from stretcher strains for
12 months. Japanese aged type of cold rolled shall be free from stretcher strains for 3 months.
No such requirement is designated for Japanese hot rolled products.

6 Approved Sources
