1.a. Currently, the Philippines has many issue in concern of developing the economy,

technologies, health, education, jobs and tourism. The sustainable development goals of the

country is become less progress to pandemic situation, it was hard to everyone a better lifestyle

of living. Starting March 15, 2020, the country’s Luzon Island went into a complete lockdown that

restricted population movement with only a few exceptions. This resulted in a drastic decline in

employment levels, with projections suggesting a maximum of one million people losing their jobs

due to the lockdown. In addition, the imposed community quarantine would, at the very least,

cause cumulative losses in gross value added of three billion Philippine pesos in every select key

sector in the country. With travel being a major contributing factor to the spread of the virus, the

tourism industry worldwide has been brought to a grinding halt. Hence, it was estimated that the

communication equipment industry would lose a lots of money due to supply disruption.

1.b In order to survive and at least to sustain development goals of the country, the

government of the Philippines creates different program and policies during pandemic.

Before COVID-19, the Philippines was one of the most dynamic economies in East Asia. The

Philippines’ economic progress relies upon strong consumer demand, a thriving labour market,

and remittances received from overseas. Increased urbanization, a growing middle class, and a

young population help to drive these. The government’s expansionary fiscal program and

accommodative monetary policy will put the economy on a firm recovery path by the second half

of 2021. The report says government plans to strengthen labor market programs and assist in

the recovery of sectors badly affected by the pandemic, including agriculture and tourism, will

further support a pickup in the economy.

The Philippines’ economic growth in 2021 and 2022 will be supported by sustained growth in

public infrastructure spending, improving consumer confidence, and progress in the national

coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination program, according to a report released today by

the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

sustainable development goals will attain and heal the world for a better place after pandemic
