Business Analyst Job Description

 in addition to developing business case and impact analysis, having excellent


experience and exposure in requirement gathering and elicitation while
identifying, investigating, and analyzing business processes, procedures and
work practices
 Leading & organizing meetings with users to understand their business needs to
convert business requirements into system requirements to define project
requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming
project team; establishing project budget.
 identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business
practices, system functionality and behavior
 Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to
develop project plans and to control and manage cost, resource and resources
 examining existing IT systems and business models and analyzing
systems/business requirements while coordinating with technology architect to
define other technical requirements
 Monitors project progress against milestones and by tracking activity; resolving
problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions and ensuring
decisions are made only when the appropriate criteria are met
 taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating,
adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality
and integrity of the system
 Leading in designing of test cases , Running UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and
BAT (Business Acceptance Testing) and ensure users are adequately represented
and involved in the testing
 Providing references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation;
training users.
 Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training
classes
 Developing functional specifications for use by system developers
 Preparing technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing
information and trends.
 implementing, configuring designed solution according to the solution
documentation
 acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and
assistance in the system project decision making process
 Generating Operations procedures, link and improve procedures between
Service Design and Service Transition.
 Initiate, maintain and monitor the releases and patches and the change
requests.
 Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information
confidential.
 Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
 Good exposure in developing IT Budgets
