Business Analyst Job Description
in addition to developing business case and impact analysis, having excellent
experience and exposure in requirement gathering and elicitation while
identifying, investigating, and analyzing business processes, procedures and
work practices
Leading & organizing meetings with users to understand their business needs to
convert business requirements into system requirements to define project
requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming
project team; establishing project budget.
identifying and evaluating inefficiencies and recommending optimal business
practices, system functionality and behavior
Using project management methodologies, principles and techniques to
develop project plans and to control and manage cost, resource and resources
examining existing IT systems and business models and analyzing
systems/business requirements while coordinating with technology architect to
define other technical requirements
Monitors project progress against milestones and by tracking activity; resolving
problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions and ensuring
decisions are made only when the appropriate criteria are met
taking responsibility for deploying functional solutions, such as creating,
adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality
and integrity of the system
Leading in designing of test cases , Running UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and
BAT (Business Acceptance Testing) and ensure users are adequately represented
and involved in the testing
Providing references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation;
training users.
Creating user and training documentation, and conducting formal training
classes
Developing functional specifications for use by system developers
Preparing technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing
information and trends.
implementing, configuring designed solution according to the solution
documentation
acting as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and
assistance in the system project decision making process
Generating Operations procedures, link and improve procedures between
Service Design and Service Transition.
Initiate, maintain and monitor the releases and patches and the change
requests.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information
confidential.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational
workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks;
benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Good exposure in developing IT Budgets
