Time- 11a.m to 5p.m
Plan of the day-
(1) To visit the Bandar Sindri village
(2) Interaction with different stakeholders of the village

Objective-
(1) Identifying the area where we can work
(2) Understanding the structure of Bandar sindri village

Work Done-
On 4th march all the students of MSW course reached the
department where we interacted with DP negi sir and Rajeev sir.
After this all the students were divided into two groups. One group
visited mandoti village with Rajeev sir and another one visited
Bandar sindri village with phd scholar Twinkle maam and Haroon
sir. I was part of second group and we took lift from a tractor
driver and reached there. The main village is at walking distance
from the Highway. At the outskirts of village we found a
community hall where a public library was running. The library
was started by the students of this university back in 2015. We
interacted with the Vishal who is caretaker of this small library and
he briefed us about the functionings of library. Earlier 10-15
students were coming but due to covid the number fell to 2-3.
There is also a private library running in village whose fees are
700. Here only students preparing for the competition exam
comes to study. After this we visited the primary health centre in
village, where a community health officer and anm was present.
They only provide basic medicine to villagers for free. They are
not allowed to practice in case of emergency they refer it to
Kishangarh. Daily approx 15-20 persons come to opd to take
medicines. They also have the basic facility for normal delivery
and in case of caesarean delivery the refer it. In a month only 4-5
delivery happens there and most of them are normal. This PHC
functions under harmara CHC. After this we visited the village
panchayat bhawan where we interacted with the relative of
sarpanch first. Later the sarpanch came to talk us. Bandarsindri
gram panchayat consists of three villages which are Khera
karmostan, Ganeshpura and Benee khera. The relative of
sarpanch explained us functioning of gram panchayat and he
explained it as mini secreteriate whose work is implementation of
different government schemes on ground level. Out of 13 ward
members in panchayat 6 are females. The sarpanch post is
reserved for SC women and the name of current sarpanch is
bharti devi bairwa. Then we discussed about the problems faced
by villagers. Cleanliness, plantation and English education of
children are among them. We then visited the school in village
which is Rajkiya Utkramit Madhya Vidyalaya Bandarsindri. The
condition of school was not good. There were no furniture’s
available in the school and students were sitting on floors, also
they were taught together irrespective of their classes and
attendance of students was less in comparison of admitted
students. CCTV facility was available in the school campus.
Approx one third post were vacant in this school. The total no of
students admitted are 596 in this year out of which 329 are boys
and 267 are girls and while visit we found total of approx 100
students in campus. The streams offered by school in senior
secondary are arts, science and agriculture. There was laboratory
in school but equipments were not in good conditions. After this
we visited two houses in regar community with Atiq sir where we
interacted with them.
Observation and Analysis-: Upon visiting the village for whole
day my experience was quite good. As it was my first experience
of visiting the area different from my native place. Peoples were
interacting openly and they shared their opinions freely. Also
during the visit they responded to our questions nicely.

Use of Theory-: The basic skills of professional social workers

such as communication, active listening and observation were
used by me during this visit.

Difficulties Faced:- During the visit we didn’t faced any problems

because peoples were very cooperative and also we were
accompanied by Twinkle maam and Harun sir.

Future Plan: - In future if given chance I will try to visit them

again and work on their request to provide some English tuition to
their children’s.
