Hi, this is Sherrie, a student from BLIS 1-A, and welcome to my podcast,
Communication, We can’t Live Without It and I’m glad and thankful to
have y’all, listening to my very very short podcast for today.

In today’s talk, I am going to have a brief talk about the course Purposive
Communication, for you to truly and deeply understand what could this
course mean, and I’m gonna answer all of the questions that we usually
think when we first heard of this subject like why do we need to study it
even though we can already understand english or some of us are already
proficient in english so those are one of the things that we were gonna
talk for today.

Well, this subject is built for enhancing and expanding our


communicative skills, for us to be skilled in the field of communication,
so that we can be able to talk and communicate with others across the
world despite of having a different cultural backgrounds and to have an
idea of how to talk and act around them after being aware of their cultures
so we are not just talking about a mere communication here but we were
focusing ourselves on how to communicate with a purpose in a global
settings and to widens our knowledge about the diversity of english
language and how does culture affects our language and communicative
skills.

Why do we need to communicate with a purpose,


Simply because communication without a purpose is meaningless, I
mean, if we don’t communicate with a certain goal in our mind, it will not
lead us to have a fruitful relationship with others,..We all know that if we
don’t have any good relationship, it might hinder our life, our social life
and of course work so that’s why this subject should be taught in the
students.

So that’s all and I hope you were able to learn and enjoy something from
my podcast even if it was very short, I hope you were able to grasp a
piece of information from it. Again, I’m glad to have you all, have a nice
