Activity 1 (p13)

Mobile phones now play a pivotal role not only for students but also the educators. It offers
accessibility of information at the tips of our fingers is beneficial at times like these where our tomorrows
are uncertain.

It offers real time engagement between the teachers and the students. Moreover, text messages
sent to the entire class may keep students informed about assignments, and students can use their phones
as a class planner to keep track of significant dates. Cell phones may also be useful for obtaining
information for projects. Photographs, video recordings, and audio logs may all be done using a cell phone.
PowerPoint presentations may include photos and video.

Students may also create full-length movies, upload them to YouTube, and then share them with
the rest of the class. These video projects can either capture historic places in the city or operate as
running films of ongoing study. Audio recording may be utilized as a voice over for projects in a similar
way.

Thirdly, not only students, but also teachers can benefit from using mobile devices. They are
enabled to minimize their workload by using apps that track their students’ progress. Moreover, they can
post assignments using a mobile device and have it stored on the internet for convenience.

However, some refutes the idea of utilization of mobile devices for educational purposes because
of some concerns it possesses such as dependency and the distractions on the internet. This concern is
present but is not gravely alarming. Parents, as well as teachers can supervise their students to access
mobile phones for educational purpose only at class hours and even limiting the screen time.

In conclusion, there are a lot of benefits mobile devices possess for both students and the
educators. People who are using these, attest to the efficiency and convenience of use of mobile devices.
We can mitigate the concerns by being mindful of the usage of mobile devices and never use it for
wrongdoings.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNED (P11)

I learned that persuasive essay and knowing how to write it can make the audience relate to and
agree to a certain opinion.
I realized that the major difference of persuasive from argumentative writing is persuasive
writing gets a reader to agree with an opinion on a particular topic while argumentative essay gives an
idea sharing a conviction.

WHAT I CAN DO (P11)

Should marijuana be legal for medicinal purposes?

If your parents or even you children have conditions like episodes of seizures and the only thing
that can alleviate the pain is marijuana, would you consider giving it to them? If not? Why? Just like other
drugs, using marijuana at a specific amount can be beneficial and at the same time addictive just like other
drugs. I think it should be marijuana should be legalized for medicinal purposes.

Legalizing marijuana comes with laws that implement regulations on its commercial availability.
This means that they will be able to control who can grow marijuana. According to reports, state marijuana
laws have been linked to increased acceptability and accessibility of marijuana, decreased perceived
harm, and the establishment of new marijuana-supporting norms.

Research emerge and backs the use of marijuana for the alleviation of severity of Parkinson’s
disease. According to a published Journal of Parkinson’s Disease, patients with Parkinson's disease (PD)
felt that cannabis was beneficial at lowering symptom severity, according to a recent poll on community
attitudes of cannabis usage in PD patients. Patients' awareness of the various sorts and administration
routes is also lacking, according to the findings. According to the researchers, this is the largest study
examining patients' perspectives on cannabis therapy in Parkinson's disease.

In conclusion, legalizing marijuana for sole medical purpose and not for recreation use can be a
solution for the concern of increasing crime rates and substance abuse. Implementing laws can regulate
marijuana’s commercial availability and statistics that prove alleviation of Parkinson’s disease severity is
a win. As individuals, we must not engage on substance abuse and find ways to inform proper lifestyle. As
you’ve read from my point of view, agreeing is not difficult.

KARAGDAGANG GAWAIN. PAGMUMUNI-MUNI (P16)

Isa sa mga kontrobersya ngayon ang extrajudicial killing. Ito ay pagpaslang sa mamamayan
nangwalang hustisya o hindi ligal ang pamamaraan na mismong ginawa ng may mga kaukulan sabatas,
nasa gobyerno o mga awtoridad.Napakarami na ng biktima ukol dito (Extra judicial killiing) dahil nga sa
laganap na pagpuksa ng mga awtoridad sa droga o ang ‘War on Drugs’. Marami ang naghahanap ng
hustisya at hindi sumasang-ayon dito. Pati rin ang simbahan ay higit na tumututol sa aktong ito. Pero
patuloy pa rin ang pagsulong sa pagpatay sa mga naaakusahang kriminal. Hindi na dapat ipinagpapatuloy
pa ang pagkitil sa buhay ng mga taong hindi pa nahahatulan sa korte, dahil may tsansang ang taong
mapapaslang ay inosente at walang kinalaman sa mgamasamang gawain.
Gaya na lang ni Kian De Los Santos na isang grade 12 student nan ais pang maging pulis. Hindi pa
naman sapat ang ebidensya ukol sa kanya at nababalitang siya ay pine "frame-up" lamang ng mga pulis
para sa quota. Sila ay nahatulan ng “guilty” at napatunayang hidni gumagamit ng drugs si Kian.

Marami at libo-libo na ang namatay dahil sa war on drugs na ito. Kung iisipin, ang mga nangamatay
ay mga tulak o distributor lamang. Sa kasalukuyan, wala pang malaking drug lord na nahuli at napatay.
Ano ang ibig sabihin nito? Na ang pagkakapantay-pantay ay katumbas ng pera?

Ayon sa bibliya, sa utos ng Panginoon, huwag papatay at masama ang gumawa ng masama. Ang
Diyos ang gumawa, at Siya lamang ang may karapatang bawiin ito.
