He has obtained Diploma, Advance Diploma in Public Administration and Bachelors


of Science’s degree in Political Science from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. He is a
prominent member of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria
(IPMAN) and National Union of Road Transport Owners (NARTO). He has served as
the Internal Auditor of the Kano State Branch of IPMAN from 2006 to 2013 and is cur-
rently serving as the Financial Secretary of IPMAN and NARTO.

DR. GHALI M. TIJJANI

Dr. Ghali is an Oil and Gas Regulatory Governance-cum-Petroleum Accountant by pro-


fessional training. He was at MRS OIL and GAS PLC (Formally Chevron Texaco) as the
Senior Business Consultant; his responsibility includes oil trading, sales and distribution
of petroleum products, price benchmarking, and market strategy. Dr. Ghali worked with
Diamond Bank Plc as a public sector banking officer in charge of Oil and Gas Ministries
and Parastatals.

He briefly worked with REEM CONSULTING as Senior Manager External and Industry
Relations. REEM CONSULTING in collaboration with Cambridge Energy Research Asso-
ciates (CERA) has conducted several energy-research works to international oil compa-
nies, CERA’s parent company IHS was an adviser to NNPC and was responsible for the
architecture of the Nigeria Gas Plan. He was the MD FAS-PANDA OIL and GAS CON-
SULTING, the company that established LPG Division of A.A RANO NIGERIA LIMITED.

Alh. Ado buba has worked in various capacities in the company from Sales Represen-

Mr. Ibrahim Baffa is a Trained Accountant and had progressive Banking experience.
He is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the company’s Service Stations.
As the Head of Retail Outlets, he plans, directs and evaluates the operations of the
gas stations. Manages staff and assigns duties. He also study market research and
trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of com-

MR. LUKMAN ISMAILA
Depot Manager

MR. Lukman obtained a Higher National Diploma in Geological Engineering from


Kaduna Polytechnic in the year 2004. He then trained with the following organizations:
Nigerian Mining Corporation in 1999 as Technologist (Site & Plant Operations), Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC/Kaduna Refinery & Petrochemical Company) in
2000 as Maintenance Engineer (Workshop & Plant) Department of Petroleum Resources
(DPR/Kaduna Zonal Office) from 2001 to 2004 as Refinery, Depot, LPG& Lubricant Plants
Supervisor.

Before joining A. A. Rano Nigeria Limited in 2014, he had worked with the following
organizations: Folawiyo Energy Limited between the years 2006 and 2008, Rahamaniyya
Oil & Gas Ltd as Manager, Supply and Distribution between the years 2008 and 2009.
Between 2010 and 2012, he oversaw the development of a network of Petroleum Prod-
ucts Retail Outlets & Vendor managed facilities for the growing Sahara Group Brand. He
oversaw the construction of A.A. Rano Nigeria Limited’s depot at Ijegun-Egba, Amu-
wo-Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos state. He has a wide understanding of the
current waves and needs of downstream sector of the Nigerian Oil Industry.

CHIEF ABDULHAKEEM KAYODE ADEBIYI
Group Head, Marketing

Chief Kayode, a community leader and the Kure of Offa in Kwara state, obtained a
B.Sc. degree in Political Science and Administration in 1990 from University of Maidu-
guri and a MSc. in Banking and Finance from Bayero University, Kano in 1995. He is
currently doing his doctorate program at the University of Lagos.

His professional experience started at Tropical Commercial Bank PLC (1991). He had
experiences in major financial institutions and finally Prudent Bank (now Skye Bank
PLC) where he rose to the rank of Senior Manager. He joined A. A. Rano Nigeria Lim-
ited in 2010 as a Business Development Manager before climbing the ladder to his
current position. He loves politics dearly.

MR. LUQMAN A. LAWAL


Group Head, Finance and Account

Mr. Lawal obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the prestigious
Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a Masters of Business Administration
(MBA-Finance) from the University of Jos, Nigeria . He is an associate member of both
the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and the Nigeria Institute of
Management (ANIM). Mr Luqman has Over 18 years progressive experience in the
downstream Sector of the Nigerian oil industry. He joined the company in 2015 as the
Group Head of Finance and Account from MRS Oil Nigeria PLC. There, his responsibili-
ties includes auditing, stock and bank reconciliation and review of the operations of
the retail outlets, review of internal controls, valuation of aviation fuels, banks/invento-
ry, and mega station operations.

As the Group Head of Finance reports to the Group CEO and the Board of Directors,
and assumes a strategic role in the overall management of the company. He usually
has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and con-
trolling all financial-related activities of the company.

Alh. Ibrahim Garko is a trained Accountant and Veteran Banker with almost Twenty
Years progressive banking experiences with Habib Bank Plc now the Platinum Habib
Bank Plc. Mr. Ibrahim holds an Advance Diploma in Accounting. He joined the compa-
ny as a Finance Officer in 2006 and has risen through the ranks to head the department
of Account and Finance before he later become the Group head of Sales and Business
Development.

MR. SHAMSUDEEN IBRAHIM


Group Head, Audit and Compliance

Mr. Shamsudeen holds a B. Sc degree in Accounting (Finance and Accounting) from


Bayero University, Kano and a Masters in Business Administration from the same Uni-
versity. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
(ACA 2012) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) (ACTI 2015). As
the Group Head of Audit and Compliance Unit, he is responsible for planning, execut-
ing and reporting on operational, financial, and regulatory and compliance related
audits/reviews. He conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compli-
ance procedures are followed. He also conduct or direct the internal investigation of
compliance issues.

ALH. MUHAMMAD AUWAL ABDULLAHI


Head of Claim

Alhaji Auwalu holds a National Diploma in accounting (1992), Higher National Diplo-
ma in accounting (1996), Higher National Diploma in Business Administration (2006)
all from Kano state Polytechnic, Kano and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education from
Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He is responsible for the processing of all payments
due to the company from Oil clients with whom the company trades and Petroleum
Equalization Fund (PEF).

Mr. Ibrahim Abdu is an Information Systems Professional. He obtained M.Sc Information


Systems Management and B.Sc Software Engineering (Computing) from University of
Greenwich, London, and prior to Joining A.A Rano Nigeria Ltd, he has served as an IT
Support Officer at Grassroots Health Organization of Nigeria from 2002 – 2004, and as
IT Manager at IBRISA OIL GAS SERVICES LIMITED (2007-2008). Mr. Ibrahim has a collec-
tion of IT certifications such as: British Computer Society Professional Member (MBCS),
Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) USA Professional Member;
Advanced Certificate in Information Technology (2006), Professional Diploma in Software
Engineering 2007 and Honor’s Diploma in Information Technology (2007). He was award-
ed certificates in Security Administration and Hardware Networking in 2014.

Mr. Ibrahim Abdu Initiated the complete automation of the company’s process where his

Alhaji “Salbas”, as he is fondly called, holds a diploma in Local Government Admin-


istration from The School of Rural Technology and Entrepreneurship Development,
Rano, Kano state. He joined the company on its incorporation as Product Sourcing
Officer (PSO) before climbing the ladder to become a Depot Representative (DR)
and eventually becoming the company’s Head of Marine Operations.

Mr. Adebola attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and graduated with a Second
Class (Upper Division) in Technical Education in 1989. He has about 26 years’ experi-

try.
