My coaching philosophy is to build the growth of my players not just on the field

but off the field as well. I will strive for our team to hold our core values to a high

standard. I will accept every student/player for who he/she is. My students are to go to

extra help in a class they are struggling in every day before practice. I will make sure my

athletes understand the core values that we hold which are respect, responsibility,

communication, accountability, but most importantly teamwork. My goal for my athletes

will be to perform at their best ability night and day not only on the field but off of the

field as well. We will be role models for the younger students in our school district. My

goal is to have our athletes grow into respectable and responsible young adults by the

time they leave my program. I will hold community activities throughout the season to

fundraise for our programs not just for now but, our future teammates. I will have a zero

tolerance for any disrespect for anyone.

Winning is important yes, but life lessons and showing the team how to be an

adult is our highest responsibility. I will have meetings with each player when the

season starts and my expectations after that they can talk to me anytime. My staff and I

will respect all players. We will understand if a player has a better relationship with

another coach that’s okay. They can meet with them if they are more comfortable, but if

it’s about playing time I must be involved in the meeting. We are going to be role models

for the younger kids in the community, I do not just want the kids looking up to my

players. I want the parents to see the respectful young adults they are becoming. I will

have parents involved where they can contact me at any point no matter what they

would like to talk about. Also, I will have the parents/family members come to the school
the night before a game for a big family dinner with our whole team. We will have an

academic athlete of the week and they will get to lead our team to our team dinners the

night before the game that week.

When it comes to practices for my team they will be mandatory to attend. We will

compete every day at practice to prepare for our game that week. All athletes will be

involved in practice. Every player is an integral part of our team. No starting job is safe

by any means and anyone who is performing better then someone can compete for that

starting job. We want our students to strive for greatness in their own minds. Whatever

they believe is their best we want just a little more! We know our athletes are going to

become fantastic human beings and that in itself would be our greatest achievement.
