To facilitate the adoption of new construction technologies appropriate to infrastructure


projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and avoid unnecessary
delays in project implementation and evaluation thereof by the DPWH Inspectors as to
conformance with the plans and compliance to the requirements, Department Order No. 35,
Series of 2018 is hereby amended to include authority to issue Updates/Revisions to Existing
DPWH Technical Standards, Manuals, Guidelines and Conceptual/Standard Plans in the
delegated authorities of the Undersecretary for Technical Services.

This order shall take effect immediately and shall supersede other issuances inconsistent
herewith.
