500mA Standalone Linear Li-Ion Battery Charger
General Description Features
The LP4054 is a complete constant-current/constant- voltage Programmable Charge Current Up to 500mA
linear charger for single cell lithium -ion batteries. Its SOT23-5 No MOSFET, Sense Resistor or Blocking Diode Required
package and low external component count make the LP4054 Constant-Current/Constant-Voltage Operation with
ideally suited for portable applications. Furthermore, the Thermal Regulation to Maximize
LP4054 is specifically designed to work within USB power Charge Rate Without Risk of Overheating

Pin Name Description
Open-Drain Charge Status Output. When the battery is charging, the CHRG pin is pulled
1 CHRG low by an internal N-channel MOSFET. When the LP4054 detects an under voltage lockout
condition or charge complete, CHRG is forced high impedance.

Charge Current Output. Provides charge current to the battery and regulates the final float

4 VIN Positive Input Supply Voltage.
